What has the UK become under the far right influence?

Konstantin Kisin - a writer and man with an opinion - in this case the wrong opinion. You wanna laugh? He is a migrant - he was born in Moscow and came here at about 11 or 12 years of age. And he is telling us Sunak - a man Born in Southampton - cannot be British because of his skin colour. Thats the enemy we need to defeat to which I referred.
His name rings a bell - is he a comedian by chance?

Sure I've heard him on a podcast or similar

Downright **** if you ask me. I am no fan of Sunak nor his politics but to say anyone born here CANNOT be British because of their skin colour - I will fight that type of shite until the day I die.
Christ on a bike!

If you're going to fight that type of shite until the day you die I would've thought you'd at least get the shite right! He's not saying Sunak cannot be British! He said and I quote .....

"We're both British"

He was questioning whether Rish Sunak was English!

I haven't a f**king clue what goes on in your head, but if you don't know the difference between nationality and ethnicity or you do but play word games to swerve the issue, don't be surprised when that issue bites you in the arse.

The left's default position when it faces an issue it feels uncomfortable with is to change the language, so we have diversity is our strength, when of course everyone knows that unity is strength. They declare this country to be multi-cultural thereby denying the existence of a dominant culture, then lament the fact that ethnic minorities (or as the left would have it the global majority) don't integrate into that dominant culture.

The left says the so called Windrush Generation rebuilt post war Britain, when they clearly didn't and and this over reach far from being a compliment undermines the enormous contribution they actually did make.

The left says we're ashamed of our imperial past when clearly we're not, the left believes that if it never utters the phrase "white working class" they will cease to exist, when clearly they will not.

As for the Tories they never really gave a fuck about these things, they're traditionally a class based party, they never cared about the skin colour of the great unwashed, because they didn't give a shit about them either way, so it mattered little whether they were a Jamaican bus conductor or a Welsh miner, not until now. Now that Reform is eating their lunch they care.

As for Labour, and this is true of the left everywhere, there are two distinct camps, the Bernie Sanders and Corbyn's of this world, who when pressed swerve the issue to talk about resource starved communities. For them the world is divided into the oppressor class and the oppressed class where ethnicity is immaterial, except when they're faced with identity politics, then they square the circle and uncomfortably bend the knee by declaring racism is a right wing diversionary tactic to divide and rule.

And the second group, the Blairites, what the right calls the globalists, they have a different analysis but they don't give a monkey's nuts about ethnicity either and believe those that do are racists, hence Brown's embarrassing conversation back in 2010 with Mrs whatever her name was about us and them, for Brown there was no us and them.

I don't know how you're going to fight this shite until the day you die when you clearly know shite about it.

You make some interesting points and I understand what you are saying, but English or British is surely a bit of a grey area these days?

I'm born and bred in England as we're my folks and theirs before them. But I wouldn't really class myself as anymore English than Sunack? He was born here so to my mind he is English, he is just a Hindu Englishman, where as im, a C of E Englishman. I dont really see being English as an ethnicity thing? Is that right or wrong, im not sure? But that's my thoughts.

I think the issue becomes more blurred to some, when people are born here and make little or not attempt to integrate or adapt typical English culture. But to my mind if you are born in England you are English? Same as if you are born in Scotland you are Scottish.

You're not wrong, but the reality is that East Asians find it extremely difficult to integrate into predominantly white societies. Just my personal opinion.

Why should they need to integrate? To Brits integrate when they move to Spain? Nah

African race?
British Asian?

There's only so far one can practically drill down with ethnicity.

And distance matters.

In the USA the coupling of African and American seems to suffice as a reference to both ethnicity and nationality. In Nigeria, Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba come into play, drill down further and there are close to 200 smaller tribes.

Ethnicity is only a very small part of the problem.
The much, much bigger problem is religion and its' credo.
Conflating the two (ethnicity and religious credo) is quite erroneous.
In my world religion serves to give us a moral code and has given us some fabulous buildings. As for the existence of an invisible entity with no physical signs of it ever having existed, well.....
Most religions are welcome in our isles, they are quite discreet and worship their deity peacefully The only exception to this is the Islamic faith which wants to convert everyone to their religion, and will use deadly force (by their extremists) to do so.
This is the unacceptable difference between that religion and every other one.
Even Protestants and Catholics who have had troubles in the past, now 'agree to disagree'.

Way too broad that, a Somalian and a bloke from Ghana have about as much in common genetically as me and a lad from Samoa
Dont disagree but its the ethnic groupings used by the government so.. You could say the same with Asian we are talking about knocking on for 1 billion people from Eastern Russia and Mongolia to Southern Indonesia excluding the specific group they list of Chinese Asian.

Or for that matter somewhere like Algeria, they genetically share more similar DNA with people of Caucasian decent than those from sub Saharan Africa.
