FIFA Club World Cup 2025 | Knockout Stage

Remember a few months ago when lots of our fans were ridiculing Chelsea and their transfers?

Don't hear those same folks chirping now.

Hopefully that will put to bed the 'PSG are infallible and will dominate Europe' shit that I've read over and over for the last few weeks. Twatted, fair play to Chelsea.
They should have lost to Bayern too. And got beat by Botafogo. The Spanish teams ( Real and Athletico made them look way better than they really are.

They are a very good team. But there are many in their class. Including Barca, Liverpool, Bayern, and Arsenal. Its beginning to look like Chelsea might be on that class too. With their 2 new strikers who both look like serious Dawgs!

We need to hurry up and join the party. We've got all the tools

Winning it doesn't guarantee you re-entry to the competition. They'll have to win the CL in the next 3 years or be one of the two best ranked English sides in europe over that period and hope no other English sides wins it for a chance to defend their title.
What a load of bollocks, you do realise they now have time on their hands to change the rules to shoehorn the rags into the competition, just think about all that history.

I don't know how Pep would have felt having to shake hands with a fascist.

I'm glad we went out to avoid that **** taking credit.
He would have behaved like any rational adult and respected a democratically elected leader of the host country whether he agreed with his politics or not

This game showed that we seriously need to sell certain players even if it means pushing them out. We can’t slow down the rebuild.

Genuinely dont know whether you're suggesting what I said is bollocks (it's fact) or whether, accepting it as fact, you're saying the situation is bollocks.

One thing is for certain. United wont be in it in 2029 they'll be lucky if they're still in the top division.

Think he was taking a piss at the expense of United.:)

So one relatively poor season and we’re not at the “party”?! And you think the Dippers, Tarquins, Chav’s, German Rags and Barca are a class above?

Just can’t agree with that assessment, we lost our best player for virtually the whole season and he’s back, plus other signings look like we’ve strengthened. I know no team should be a one man outfit but look at the Dippers when they lost Dick Van Dyke, they fell to pieces.

We’ll have a much better 25/26 season without a doubt.

Would you seriously want to go down the Chav’s acquisition route? They’re on very thin ice and have blatantly taken the piss out of FFP and PSR by wiping out Abramovich’s 1.5b loan and selling two hotels and the Ladies team.

We’re being investigated for figures that are dwarfed by the Chav’s shenanigans, PSR included “sustainable” something that is clearly not possible by selling off one time assets.

A great achievement by Chelsea. They have won every single domestic and international trophy. No other team in the world can say that. Palmer was magnificent. He is proven world class now. What a blunder to let him go.
Never won the Thomas Cooke Trophy or that Joe Camsite thing they play for in Barcelona.
Cheers
Seems strange that the holders don’t get automatic entry

It's the same for FIFA world cup. EURO as well.
And it was the same in the CL until the dippers won it and finished fifth. A quick re-writing of the rules and Everton were stuck in the play-offs.

They've spent £2bn in about 5 seasons.

Throw 2bn darts and you'll hit treble 20 a few times.

Honestly didnt watch a minute once we were knocked out, so I can see the pointless shouts from fans with no interest in it. It might get bigger in the future but at the moment, without the money its pointless.

Nice to watch a game as a neutral and see the game rather than feeling the emotion. Paris thought they would walk in to this and away with the game. Chelsea forced their hand and even though they had chances, they had no real comeback.

Interesting to see Paris’ discipline falling apart when under pressure, and Chelsea taking advantage of it.

Well played Chelsea, the only game I’ve seen of them in this, and they thoroughly deserved it.
This win will give them momentum and they will do well this season. It will upset all the bitter LFC and Arsenal fans.

Losing to that Saudi side is up there with us losing to fucking Halifax and Shrewsbury back in the day
it really isn't as fairly substantial number of blues haven't taken thus trophy any more serious than the charroty shield, no sshame in going out
