Will we win the league this season?

Unless we continue to improve and why wouldn't we.
My reasoning is obviously coloured by current form. No overbearing reason why this will translate into next season but it might. If it does I suggest Chelsea may finish above us. Any improvement we have shown has been marginal but since a lot of money has been spent alreasdy I would expect us to be a lot better and we have a framework in place to win. Lets see what happens, it won't be long now till we find out.

When you say current form you mean the second half of the last game, not the game before v Juventus, or the other 2?

I think Arsenal finally do it. They had the best defence last season with Saliba and Gabriel before the injuries. Attack just let them down in too many games especially against Liverpool, with Gyokeres you've got the finisher to put the ball in the net. Midfield is solid Rice , Zubimendi and Odegaard. Full backs are solid, they finally have enough to do it.
They are well positioned, no doubt. Interesting thing gonna be about their mentality, because the pressure is on them and especially on Mikel. Although my guess its coming rather from the fanbase rather than a club. Professionals should see that Arteta is a very good coach, one of the best, they simoply have been a bit unlucky with lack of trophies.

Personaly I think main question with Arsenal ahead is not even Gyokeres, whose gonna be good, better than Havertz for sure, but Zubimendi. Im not sure hes going to be such a great holding midfielder in a PL. Arteta obviously see him as a brain of operation and holding midfielder. If this doesn’t work out, Arsenal will be weaker than with the Partey/Rice combination in a key area.

if Pep is bold, yes

GK
RB kush, gvardiol, At Nueri
rodri
reijinders foden
cherki, haaland, marmoush.

is a team that can be centurians and treble winners

Im sorry what am I missing hear? I mean, what has Khusanov done so far that justifies putting him into first eleven? Not to mention the context there like hes one of the greatest players in history of football? I believe Khusanov gonna be at least very good too, but its too early, I would be surprised if hes gonna play a really important role this season

firstly it's here (sorry normally not a grammar nazi ;-) )

Secondly Dias has no. pace, cannot play the high line and his football skills are below Stone, Ake, Gvardiol and Kush, love the guy but he plays instead of Josko not partnering imho

Thirdly we all know why Kush didn't play

Love the irony here with the grammar:)

I think the 5 major factors for us winning the league will be;

1. Rodri stays fit.
2. Foden regains form and contributes 16-20 goals
3. We sign a RB who's strong defensively as well as having recovery pace
4. Doku/ Savio/ Bobb contribute at least 30 goals between them
5. Gundogan and Silva are never together in a double pivot at any stage of the season.

6. Other teams stop playing 5-4-1 against us
7. Pep stops playing Haaland when other teams start playing 5-4-1 against us

“If Pep does what I think is best we can get 100 points and win the treble”

Zero self awareness
its called confidence

I. think. we have a squad to win. the league and.more and one that has years of dominance if we believe in them

The worst part of last season was before the January window closed, so it isn’t just 3 players signed, you need to include players like Marmoush in your analysis.
Well only Marmoush really, other than Newcastle and Bournemouth I don’t think he pulled any trees up. I do rate him but he needs to work on his first touch, I feel he’s a clumsy player. After the first month we hardly saw the others. I personally didn’t see anything from Jan onwards that suggests to me we’re three signings away from winning the league. Still much more business needs to be done. Gundo/Kova/Bernie/Stones/Ake/Akanji all either already past it or injury prone and there going to be another year older.

Back 4 just isn't strong enough. Need a RB and do we have a world class CB? I don't think so.

And then we really need at least one of Bobb, Savinho or Doku to be getting towards 20 G&A.

I think it will be more competitive next year, in that the Arsenal, Chelsea and Dippers all seem stronger, on paper. If we get a decent start and a bit of momentum, we may find our grove again. A bad start and conversely all the questions start again. I do like the look of the squad and feel that Gvardiol may become the world class centre back we thought we were investing in, a couple of years back. I think Dias is a more than capable partner with a plethora of back up options depending on whether they stay fit or get sold. We now have a left back and I am optimistic that Nunez can step up next year, after being shoe-horned into a new role. Our midfield is a strength, if Pep gets the selection balanced. In terms of attacking options, we are blessed.

We need to become the flat-track bullies that enjoyed turning over less fancied opposition. Do this and the big games sort themselves out.

I’m going for 5/6 titles and a resounding victory against the premier league. Can’t wait!

Well we know City's potential with a fit Rodri.

I think you are right to add Chelsea into the mix.

In truth, City's attacking potential has ebbed as KDB aged. In the last 2 windows we addressed that. City's attacking potential will be huge. All the risks are at the other end.

I don't see how we don't improve. Whether it will be enough to win the title really comes down to the extent to which Rodri recovers, the development of Reis and Khusanov and the fitness of Stones. No one can answer these questions and hence the future of City in 2025/26 is extremely uncertain. Potentially very exciting or more we attack, you score.

Being positive, we need a fully revitalised Foden, and a more influential contribution, (especially in the big games) from Doku.
We also need the fringe players to show that they can be trusted when it really matters, and aren't just going to appear for the last 10 minutes when City are already winning 3-0

Ait Nouri and Cherki should both give us more of an attacking threat, and as long as we're creating proper chances then Haaland will win us games.

I'm less confident about our defence or fitness issues, and whilst you say that nobody can answer, I would politely suggest that Stones' injury record over the last two seasons means only one thing.

Slightly different with Rodri and he will need to be handled very carefully. However, if he does stay fit then our possession stats look so much more formidable and we don't lose the ball in stupid positions.

Strangely, I'll feel more confident if Chelsea are more of a threat and start taking points off Arsenal and Liverpool. That way, nobody pulls away and City stay in contention.

Surely Chelsea will be cream crackered from the CWC?
