26 | Savinho - 2025/26

Grealish decided to take a season off in the bar.
Kovacic decided to play braindead vs Real and let them score 3-2 at the Etihad.
Akanji was terrible most of the season.
Dias lost all his speed after he came back from injury.
Gundogan didn't score a goal till May.
And Foden decided to throw the ball right at Partey. He still has not managed a season with 10 assists and just likes to shoot at goal himself.
Gvardiol kept making mistakes left and right.

So many players were having a bad season.. yet Nunes takes the blame alone.. LOL!

The only one insane is the Nunes haters who clearly have a fucking agenda.
I said players like Nunes etc, I’m clearly not just blaming Nunes. Others were more at fault, signings like ,Nunes and Doku etc are the reason why we had the season we did and the reason why I think just signing 3 players this summer will be no where near enough.

7 goals and 14 assists playing as a part time winger. Calling it now. A Savio breakout is coming :)

Dias never had any speed :)
He lost all of his anticipation and game reading.

Praying for second season syndrome. Showed flashes at the start of the season but faded badly and seemed to lose confidence. Young so there's still hope.

With fans like you I would hate to read what enemies would say

I was making a point that Nunes gets a ton of hate while others just keep ignoring mistakes from their favorite players.

How about we just support the team instead of constantly posting negativity?

I'm just sick of it.. the constant berating of Rico and Nunes.. gets on my nerves!

And if he doesnt do we bin him off next summer? I think the answer is Yes. Same goes for Doku mind.

Wouldn't that be a bit disappointing? It's not much more than this season (although I do think he played well for a good chunk of this season).

I liked to see him and Doku in that more flexible role in the 433, where he can be wide, but also in the half space.

This is how I personally see/hope the squad is set up next season.

Khus can't do RB like Nunes, so it'd probably shift for him to be more a back 3, that 316 formation suits Khus quite well, and that works well against low blocks.

Edit: We have so many players I forgot Bobb, somewhere RW or RCM probably.

Squad is too bloated...

No it won't. 14 assists will be damn near top of the league.

If Haaland, Marmoush, Phil, are all available and in form, you can expect 20 or more goals each. And expect between 6-12 goals for all the other attacking players.

So it wont surprise me to see him score 5-7 goals.

I think people are getting a bit giddy. He certainly has pace and just needs to work on his vision, actually just like Doku, but a year behind

Yup. Bobb on loan, Reis on Loan, Echemessi on loan. One of Akanji and Stones wont make it. Khusa at CB. Lewis at RB

You are right about 1 thing though. Squad is bloated.

The figure is that between 100-130 Brazilians have played in The Premier League since its inception and whilst there have been some successes there have been more average players than great ones. Perhaps our expectations re Brazilian players is too high. I find Savinho rather like Jesus in that they flatter to deceive and engage in too much on field theatrics. On occasions they need(ed) a good slap or kick up the arse and told to get on with the game. Personally I doubt whether he will adapt to the PL and would rather see the investment in time being made in Bobb

Agree completely about Bobb. Hopefully not being relied on upon so much might actually help Savinho. Feel he played more minutes than the club wanted due to injuries last season. I'd personally however would cut my losses on him and sell him however.

Ah. Do you mean just in the league?

He had 13 assists this season, which is why I was suggesting 14 wasn't too exciting :)

I agree with the others on loan but not Bobb.

Need to see what he can do as a squad player when fit for a year, if he doesn't show what we think, then loan or sell.

Loaning right now is a mistake.

I’d have O’Reilly instead of Kovacic and Gundogan, then Bobb where you have O’Reilly. Bloated but only really need to move out Grealish , Kovacic, Gundogan. Loan Reis and Echeverri. Maybe Stone or Akanji leave if we bring in a right back, Khusonov then covers centre back.
