26 | Savinho - 2025/26

It has to have a buy back clause. This is a Mo Salah level talent. Salah couldn't hit a barn door at this age.

Everything else Salah has this kis also have. Sire he is unlikely to become as successful, but lets not give up so easily.
I was just beginning to get excited by Sav, sharing the workload with Bobb. The season ahead is a long one, why is a sale even being considered, we don’t need the money ….. or do we????

A couple of aspects I thought of. If Bobb and Cherki cover the right winger spot does it open up the possibility for Echiverri to stay and play inside them.

Also we have McAdoo coming through who is potentially brilliant and might get a game if things go well for him .

So a lot of options there

Loads spent all last season whinging about him not doing enough, not working hard, not scoring etc. Now some of the same people are moaning about him going...

Bobb and Foden or Cherki out there. Plus Silva for a specific tactical option. Plenty of options, gives Bobb the chance he needs, and I'm convinced he'll be better for us.

Personally I don’t rate Savinho. His ball retention was awful and he is very weak on the ball. Felt like he was responsible for so many losses of possession last season.

Howeverwhat I will say is that he is only young and this is another example of how, in my opinion, as a club we are the worst prepared for the start of a new season in years. So many unanswered questions about players leaving. Players who are allegedly trying to be pushed towards the exit playing the most minutes in the club World Cup. The club just seem absolutely rudderless at the moment.

Top clubs don’t accept buy back
We aren’t selling him to Southampton

I don't have strong opinions about this lad. If he stays and improves his all round game and particularly his final ball, great, but if we feel we have better alternatives that's fine with me also.

He strikes me as a typical lighweight Brazilian who has tried to adapt to English football. I think that gap has narrowed somewhat since the Mirandinha days. He has undoubted talent but whether he has that drive and desire to be a top player, I'm not too sure. Think he gets kicked off the ball too easily and can then go missing

Don't think he has fully grasped that when he falls to the floor in a City shirt, he will seldom win a free-kick ?

I think it will be a mistake to let him go after only a season. He started really well last season and then struggled for a large part, but there is absolutely a lot of talent with him. With a year under his belt and a more settled and confident team this year and i was hoping we'd see a lot more from him.

He’s like Anthony. All fart no shit - the only difference is we paid 30 whereas United were daft enough to pay 90
He's not that bad. We've already seen in glimpses that he can be a good player.
Assist at home to Arsenal, assist at home to West Ham - signs that theres talent there.

The league is full of players who can show glimpse of talent though. I don't think he really suits us - he might be a better fit for Spurs (and their level), but even if he does well there it doesn't mean we'll miss him.

Didnt/don't mind him, but was never excited to see him come in as sub, or to see him starting. Just kind of accepted it.

We’ve got 3 wingers currently who aren’t delivering in the final 3rd. Unfortunately at this level it’s either shit or get off the pot.

The assist V Arsenal was superb but that was around November, I think he went downhill after a positive start

I’d probably sell Doku first but if an offer of 60-70mil comes in for Savio it’s hard to turn down

He’s shown glimpses but so have lots of players in the division

To sell after 1 year probably does feel a bit early but I think we’ve one too many in that area of the pitch

Well if you're talking about Savinho, it doesn't seem he's being pushed towards the exit.

If you believe reports, we dont really want to sell but he either wants a move or we were offered dough that we think is over the odds.

Id like him to stay another season to see what he can do, but if they offered £60-70m, I think the club has to take that seriously based on what he offered last season.
