PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Sorry…..but even if we are FULLY EXONERATED rival fans and MOST DEFINITELY the MSM…will slyly and covering themselves legally intimate we’re guilty, probably by the old “brown envelope” argument……unfortunately as a fanbase we’re going to have to deal with this and that’s life….i have ALWAYS said we are witnessing the most SUCCESSFUL SMEAR CAMPAIGN in the HISTORY OF WORLD SPORT,and personally IT BREAKS MY FUCKING HEART……I’m a delicate individual, currently dealing with severe depression….but I’m hanging on in there….been city since 77…….and get this,my favourite city player will ALWAYS be Kevin Reeeves…….
Good luck in getting better mate.

That's what I remember. It would be unusual, especially in view of precedent (I think) but who knows?

No-one knows what the actual allegation is when it comes to non-cooperation, of course, so it's impossible to judge, really.

I have stated before that, personally, I think the non-cooperation will be around external witnesses and evidence, for the reasons I set out at the time, and so it becomes a question of whether the panel thinks the club were required by the rules to provide the information when it suited the PL (ie the investigation) or could wait until it suited the club (ie the panel).

Anybody's guess, that one.
Yeah think it’s depends on the seriousness of it but is them asking for certain things say 20 times and we say no or we didn’t have it is a points deduction! The writing of the rules seems to be vague deliberately

Same here, I’ve also re-binge watched it since, and the ending still frustrates me to this day.
I used to feel the same way then I read an article about that and it became clear. A lot of the scenes are shot showing Tony's view, i.e. through his eyes. A few minutes before the end, a guy gets off his stool at the counter and goes somewhere. Then Tony's looking at the door when the screen goes black and the credits roll. The clear implication is that he's been killed by the guy who gets off his stool a few minutes earlier.

i don't need to watch it now.

Was it APT or 115 case Masters has had to provide WhatsApp messages and emails going back a few years?
The reason I ask is, could city use this information as an defence against non cooperation.
I might be wrong (probably) but stefan has always stated APT and 115 should be viewed separately but could city use the findings in APT to defend the non-co-operation in 115.

assuming that was more than a rumour, i don't think it can be used as evidence in the 115.

but if there is anything damning in them, then maybe they could be used to mitigate punishment should we be found against. doubt they'll find a message saying "get those arabs by foul means or fair" to be honest.

The CAS said in their conclusion that they understood why the club stopped providing information to UEFA, but if it had supplied the documents that were used in evidence at the CAS, UEFA probably wouldn't have banned us
When they issued us with the fine, it was really because we'd wasted the CAS' time

The difference between UEFA & PL case is that in UEFA there was a 5 year period limit where they can't investigate the club for things happened before that, while in the PL they can go back for 500 years and sue the club for anything they don't like.

Thats what I learned from watching @slbsn

So the PL can investigate us before FFP came in

I don't think they can go back 500 years without legal justification. i think they need specific grounds to go back that far. which i guess they would have had to establish on a charge by charge basis (although lots of duplicates).

Nothing much, someone on twitter claimed we were getting a small points deduction and fine for non-cooperation, and then a debate on whether we would accept that or not.
Ahh, twitter. I wondered what all the new pages were for.

Did the PL not change their rules mid investigation regarding requested documents, basically making it so that any club had to hand over the entire trove regardless of what they actually needed?

Probably, but especially the critical documents which were of financial interest to the cabal members, as I understand it :)

I really feel for you. This never ending wait for a judgement is bad enough as it is, let alone if you are feeling down. It is about realistically managing expectations in my view. We will never be seen as innocent in the eyes of many, regardless of the verdict. Not because we are guilty, but because we broke into their cosy cartel members club, and they hate us for it. Be uplifted by the joy of our own blue community when we are cleared, and leave the bitter masses to their outrage. All the best.

It’s desperate, desperate stuff that the PL are trying to hang sanctions on Mancini getting a wage from a sports club in the UAE for consultation work that was over 16 years ago in 2025. In what other industry does this happen?

Shows on the main charges they have nothing and are going for a desperate hit and hope to make sure something sticks.
