The funniest post I’ve ever seen on here was one that said David Silva isn’t a Pep-type player. The funniest post I read on here years ago about Dave was "if I caught Silva in bed with my wife I'd tuck him in"
Still makes me smile.
Merlin's 360 degrees turns are legendary for finding himself space and freeing himself of his markers.Kev is right up there, but David is the best I've ever seen. He had it all. The weight of pass, the way he could find space with a little pirouette. I miss him.
Colin Bell and David are our two greatest players fact. There's a distinction between 'best' and 'favourite'. There are arguments for Aguero, Yaya, Kevin and Bell as best. But David will forever be my favourite.
Those 2 and the King for me. All 3 so good, and so different, it would be a sin for me to say that any of the 3 were better, or worse, than the others.Kev is right up there, but David is the best I've ever seen. He had it all. The weight of pass, the way he could find space with a little pirouette. I miss him.
Wrong way to look at it. There is only one David Silva, and we were fortunate enough to have had him for the best years of his careerI wish we could find a player of his quality now.
Yep. Though some of it was a lack of confidence/unselfishness too because with his technique, he could finish (OT, Wembley, Blackpool, etc).Best city player in my lifetime.
If he were a better finisher, he’d be ranked near the likes of Messi and Ronaldo. Tremendous footballer.
ItsAfter Ali Bernabia left (and many years before him obviously), there had been no one with the guile and craft we so desperately needed....Spanish Dave changed all that, and set the standard for all those who have followed. A truly magnificent footballer, and a tough little bastard too.
He was also a tough little bugger, which often gets overlooked due to his size and skills.Kev is right up there, but David is the best I've ever seen. He had it all. The weight of pass, the way he could find space with a little pirouette. I miss him.
He was their 4th highest goal scorer at one point, maybe still is?He scored more goals for Spain (35), than Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets combined (28) despite playing less games than them all!
Come on.That fucking idiot Goldstein was arguing with Darren Bent, that Beckham was better than Silva…. Seriously. Some people just blinded by their bias.
Cockney rag at that.Come on.
We all know that talkshite is all about WUMmery and getting reactions from listeners.
And Goldstein is a fucking rag; what do you expect?
