Its Guinness time any day of the week.
Yes, todays marks a wonderful occasion for us as we mark 50 years of married life.
On a personal level I couldn`t have asked for a better wife (even though she`s from the Dark Side but not a big dyed in the wool one as she`s not really a footie fan) who is also my best friend.
A truly wonderful wife, Mum ,Nan and Aunt to one and all.
She deserved the best ... and got it ... me !!!! ;)

Well done on a lifetime of marriage to the same lady.
There are not a lot of couples who make it to their Golden Anniversary.
Myself and my lovely wife are just a few years behind you, 44 years of marriage since April 1981.

I was just thinking, did you do the Hokey Cokey as part of your wedding day dancing ??
 
Hope you're celebrating tonight with a Werther's original and tucked up in bed by 8pm watching repeats of countdown. Don't forget you'll be up several times during the night needing a wee so keep off the tea

Mrs Oakie is obviously a girl of good taste!! Seriously me and mine wish you both a lovely Golden Wedding.

What tends to get overlooked is that Summer 1975 was also a scorcher, but its played the bridesmaid to 1976. I was a student working temporary in a factory that July and it was hot, hot,hot so I trust that the sun shined on you both that happy day.

Iirc the days are falling this year as one of my younger Blue mates was born on a Wednesday in May 75 and her 50th fell on the same weekday this May just gone.Even sadder is I remember where I was that day!!

Happy anniversary Oakie and Mrs with many more to come. With love from me and mine. We've been married a long time and if you get the right one, like we did and you both obviously did, then youll have had an absolute blast of happiness and enjoyment xxx

TEA !! It will be Guinness or IPA`s being thrown down my neck during a lunch time meal and a taxi booked so yours truly can celebrate.
