Since the most famous event/con trick (you choose!) in history took place.....
Watch Capricorn One. Incontrovertible evidence that it was all faked. Hollywood says so, therefore it must be true.My Mum talks of this like Bill Walker does above. She remembers everything about it, where she was and what she was doing. She cried when she watched First Man as it brought it all back.
I like when it’s being talked about on socials and the empty heads come along and say it was fake because the chilli peppers said so in californication.
I was in Ashton too, but still at Broadoak Infants school.Monumental achievement, I remember exactly where I was when the module landed, I was in a club in Ashton under line called The Birdcage on a Sunday night and about 10 or 11 o'clock the DJ announced that they have landed on the moon, we all went home later on that night and I stayed up nearly all night waiting for Neil Armstrong to step out of the module it was an awe inspiring moment for me.
I wagged college next day.

Spellchecker mate.. it's never heard of Lyne.I used to guest DJ at the Birdcage in the 70s. Being 'guest' DJ meant I got paid more than the resident DJs.
It's Ashton under Lyne, not Line. That Aussie beer is rotting your memory.

Did you DJ on Sunday night at allDon't you have a secretary to type your messages?
Standards are slipping...
Did you DJ on Sunday night at all
I was going to the birdcage around '69, hence the moon landing, probably didn't go after 1971.Mainly midweek. Birdcage, Dukinfield Rugby Club (Druffies) and Hiccups. Around 72 to 74, Northern Soul nights, but the odd pop night as a 'fill in' for absentees.
Probably just after your time!
