a squad of

GK - Trafford/Bettinelli/Brits
RB - Dumfries or livermento/lewis/Nunes
LB - At-Nueri/Gvad/Ake
CB - Khush/Dias/Reis/Gvardiol/Ake possibly stones
DM - Rodders/Nico
CM - Reinders/O'Rielly/Foden/Nypan/Berny

Though young and full of uncertainty can win the league and a cup or 2
No Oscar Bobb

I think Pep, not me, Pep, would take the CL.

Clubs are judged on CL heritage nowadays globally.

We will always be in the mix for a PL title whilst Mansour is here, but CL titles don't come around as easily and I think Europe is on its arse for quality at the moment. We can win that trophy with Pep and our current team.
Yeah but not 5 prem titles ffs!?

Love your optimism. Absolutley we need a top quality right back. Opposition managers will know this. You need a solid defence to mount a title challenge and ours is anything but.
Indeed. They targeted Kyle, Rico then Nunes all the way through last season. Conceded so many goals, clear chances getting done badly at back post. 2 - 3 touches/ passes from our corner they were in so many times too on counter. Felt like my old u14s team would have had a chance:)

Surely we sort that shit out now. Get Livermento in we be near sorted now . . . We need that pace/ strengh/ good in air tho.

One thing we'll never get credit for is forcing the redshirts to improve their squads to get to the levels we've reached over the years.

I'm starting to feel it's leveling out now.

We won't piss the league like we used to but noone else will either.

Could be a three way title race going into the final round of fixtures which will be good for the 'brand'.

We'll be up there but i'm not sure where.

We pissed the league by goal diffetence and a point or 2 several times if memory serves. Never has any team given such great ends to the title. Now that we should get credit for. We haven't actually pissed it that often

Correct.
Of the eight titles we’ve won in the post-takeover era, only three (2017-18, 2020-21 and 2022-23) were clinched before the final day of the season.

Depends how hungry we are…..

Oh and what’s going on off the pitch with our players…..

Correct.

Indeed. And that's why the others caused me personally SO much stress!

And no we won't ever get the credit we deserve for enhancing the PL ' product ' with those last day wins - 2012 and 2022 being the standouts.

I actually don't think we will win the PL next season, Dips, Chavs, Arse have all strengthened. We need a massive defensive improvement, but hey I'm missing the footy now and as in life anything can happen.

Considering the atomic bomb that hit our squad last season and we still finished 3rd. Hopefully lightening won't strike twice. I think we are assembling another top squad with the greatest manager ever. Liverpool are not the team the media make out, they scraped through upteen games last season and really didn't convince me. Even then liverpools total points was mediocre. If the dippers were world beaters they would have added one of the cups but they were miles away.
I think we will be back in business next season, just need a tasty right back.
Completely agree with this.

Look, I hate the dippers as much as anyone on here. However, I think you are overlooking the players they have brought in since last season. They are doing what we didn't do after our last title, and that is to bring in top quality players. We now have brought in those player's, but to not acknowledge how much they have strengthened would be an oversight

Especially the full back from Bournemouth, and it looks like they’re upgrading Nunez

Agree with others, I hate the dippers but they have purchased quality. I’m reserving judgement on some of our new signings until they have some game time but I don’t think (with the exception of the new left back) that we have purchased the best available players.

People always predict a three horse race before a ball has been kicked but the reality is it's extremely rare.

I think the interesting thing for us is that we really don't know how good this new squad is. Doesn't really matter if you're the happiest clapper or grumpiest flapper, we have no idea how that midfield will compete on the biggest stages. First time in a decade where there are so many question marks for us, it's really exciting. First time in a decade where I don't think we are favourites either.

Correct.

We won on the last day in 1968 and have also had lots of last day promotions. Without checking I suspect no other club has had so many last day dramas. You can also include some relegations. Watching City for 60 years has been bloody fantastic.
