That's right, although I think the 2nd and 3rd are the other way round. Football might be challenging RU too.

It's a bit geographical though - RL is very much the east and southeast. RU is mostly the SE, including Victoria (not sure if RL has much presence there). The Perth side are a created satellite, I think.

What an enjoyable watch and win. I have been a bit footballed out lately watching non stop football since the start of the 24/25 season so to watch a game from a competitive sport was a nice tonic. We have so much football, nearly all year round now, I was forgetting how enjoyable summer sports are and although RU is a winter sports, Lions tours are summer events and always enjoyable. Is it just me that thinks football is going through an overkill phase and maybe the players union is right condemning the amount of games the top players play.

Lions started really well but went all a bit flat, should have really put 50 points on that abject Aussie side.
Very fortunate with ref decisions, Lions should have had a couple of cards, Beirne was fantastic

Fair score at HT.
Some of the Lions ball handling and passing is something else. Love watching Finn Russell play too. Very exciting to watch.
That pass from Finn Russell for the first try was delicious.

Lions dominated until that 1st try of the 2nd half. I thought the margin should have been greater, Lowe should have passed it in the first half and that would have been an easy try.

I'm glad Australia woke up in the 2nd half, makes the series a lot more interesting.

Strange looking team for the midweek game. I don't know who 4 of the subs are!

Ringrose on the bench with Aki not selected - does that point to picking the Irish pair at centre for Saturday or is he going to stick with the Scots?

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of fun and engagement on this tour - not helped by the long travelling distance in Australia, but not much reporting of engaging with the locals. I've already commented on the nitpicking over a player for Tuesday's scratch opponents.

Daddy looking after his little boy and giving him the captaincy, not a good look
