It's Quiet the £250m return

It could be for the next few years mate but they want to break records this season and dominate the league for the next few years. They think they can break our 4 in a row as they maintain that we will still not be peak what we were again.
I dont think the dippers are remotely thinking about the 4 in a row right now. They are doing whats best for them, we are doing whats best for us. A RB is all we need in my head, I don't know what else the club can do this season, we are already loaded with players everywhere for now and I would rather give them another season.

Liverpool have gone big this season and they'll bring that forward in as well looks like some good buys for them but that will be it for a few years there owned by a profit management company the next few years will be the odd signing each season while spitty shouts Liverpool can't compete financially with city

Hope not mate but they are going for it and the two signings they want to make are Isak and Rodrygo for this summer and that would be around a £500m window? Cant deny they are going for it all of a sudden! They smell that we have fallen off.
"They are going for it all of a sudden".

I don't get why people are falling into the media trap of "Liverpool don't spend anything".

They always have spent money,
£80m Nunez
£70m Allison
£75m Van Dijk
£65m Szoboslai
£60m Keita
£36m Konate
£50m Luis Diaz
£42m Benteke
£40m Fabinho
£40m McAllister
£40m Gakpo
£38m Andy Carroll
£35m Oxlade Chamberlain

I'm sure I'm forgetting loads more.

Don't be fooled by any of the shit you listen to when it comes to the Dippers.

It's not about numbers it's about quality.

For instance.....Scousers centre halves are better than ours....as are Arsenal's
There fullback options are better on the right and more depth on the left
Wirtz is better creatively than any of our players
Salah=haaland and Gakpo probably shades Marmoush just at present

Lots of questions about quality of our squad is unanswered. Reis. Khusonov completely unproven....Cherki is a complete unknown. Sav and doku aint made the step up yet. Kova not good enough, gundo same as

Allison is a better keeper than any of the 4 you have mentioned

Mcallister gets in our midfield over anyone baring rodri. Szvozoslai is also more than decent

If khus9nov and Reis get to the level required and Cherki then posd8bly

But we absolutely need at least one right back..possibly 2
Can see where you're coming from but I think it's more pessimistic than realistic. Here's my opinions:

  • Wirtz is a fine player but Cherki is statistically the most creative player in Europe and it only took a few appearances at the CWC to see why.
  • Agree that they have better centre halves and they actually have 2 right backs whereas we only have makeshifts so they're up there.
  • I would argue Serie A midfielder of the year Reijnders is at least as good as MacAllister but I guess we'll find out.
  • Gakpo isn't as good as Marmoush. Bar Salah, and now maybe Wirtz, they don't have anyone as good as Foden or Marmoush.
But what's more important to remember is that, even when they and the general media for many years have claimed they had the best goalscorer, defender, goalkeeper, fullbacks and so on, we still won 5 out of the last 8 league titles to their two.

I think we'll compete, and a full rebuild takes longer than 2 windows.

Pretty funny they think that buying two decent full backs and buying a centre forward with barely a season's worth of experience is going to see them dominating the toughest league in the world for the next four years. Where can I take that bet? Haha.

They've won one and you're worried about them winning four or five in a row? Give over, mate!

Don't think they can afford for that to be it for a few seasons, they are going to need defenders in the next year or two,

Something never done before, in 135 years, will be repeated twice in 8 years and then bettered the year after…
Not sure even the most rabid dipper would go that far but each to his own, I suppose.

Nah mate, they are really going for it now after losing one of their best players on a free and handing out contracts to OAPs

It's about numbers if Van Dijk or Konate get injured. Who else have they got there? Joe Gomez?? Then who?

City's squad is as good as Liverpool's, if not better. Our manager is definitely better than theirs. Both clubs are in a period of transition. I'm not sure how they've pulled miles ahead of us because they bought players in positions they needed players in.

We've all seen how they folded when Van Dijk was out with a cruciate a few seasons ago, We know all too well as it happened us this season with Rodri and other long term absentees.

Liverpool got lucky last season when it came to injuries they went through the season having very few injuries, Next season could be completely different.

You've already mentioned the centre back situation, As well as that Salah is 33 and we all know how he reacts to being substituted, We could well see him on bench a few times next season as surely he won't play every three days, If his goals dry up it's a massive problem for them on top of the fact he fell off a cliff the second part of the season last season...Hopefully that's his age starting to show.

They have Alexis and Gravenberch as their midfield two. Below that they've got Jones and Endo. Their squad is wildly overrated by people. Their best XI had a fantastic season last season, no doubt. But beyond that they will have it ALL to do in the upcoming season.

Like it or not - they've blind sided us and stolen a march on us.
It is football mate. So much can change, and so very quickly.

I remember after their covid title, thinking the next season would be tough. They were strong, won it comfortably, players hitting their prime, manager with all the comfort he could want. We weren't even that great ourselves, and we were 9th in the table at New Year, and some distance behind them. They then collapsed, barely made top 4 and we went on that mad winning run. Football isn't won on paper.

They are not going to dominate. Konate gone next season already tapped up, two midfielders have had meeting with Madrids director of football Solari that’s according to a top Madrid source. Alexis heads rumoured to already been turned. Madrid are just going to pick them apart.

I think Salah can easily play twice a week , he is in exceptional physical condition and not many in world football are close to him. He takes care of himself like Ronaldo or Lewandowski and they are still playing on a very high level albeit being much older.
