There have only been two seasons since the treble.

We won the title in one of them. Along with 2 cups and could have won the domestic double too, bar for one bad game.

The second one was a struggle, but still finished 3rd, & could well have won the FA cup had even the refereeing been fairer, never mind other margins.

Who is this "they" you keep talking about? Is it fans on social media because there is no way that any club go into a season expecting to break records, dominate a league for a few years and break a 4 in a row record. Not even we would plan or expect this.

The club have literally SAID otherwise. Pep Said it, Txiki said it, Khaldoon Said it.

They are not happy, and are always always looking to improve. Always.

They maybe got some signings wrong here and there, or even a whole approach last summer perhaps. But that was not because they fancied a wee break from winning or doing things at the club, or to put their feet up and watch, but because they collectively decided it might be a good strategy given where the squad was, and also what was hanging over the club's head at the time. Both of those things being new territory to Manchester City btw.

All that is documented and publicly available.

To then claim otherwise, sorry, does merit the response you got! What is it you think you know behind the scenes that's different to what they are telling us.

Twice they bested us and twice came one point behind. I don't think you can point another club that has challenged us as much over that period, not even Arsenal.

Look at our activity since the treble. resting on our laurels and letting others catch up and pass us out. letting Gundo go only to resign him a year later, Not moving on walker stones and others. signing Doku Nunes for big money with neither nowhere near good enough for us. Stumbling over the line in the title race the squad was at its end. then deciding yano what we dont need anything lets go again. just add in a young brazilian new to the league. Then we have our disaster 6 months, our erratic Janurary panic window with only Marmoush good enough. Then move onto our shit CWC ,and Now weve ended up with an extra large squad with no one knowing where they stand. I say it exactly as i see it I dont post for likes
