I agree with him.
The club have literally SAID otherwise. Pep Said it, Txiki said it, Khaldoon Said it.
They are not happy, and are always always looking to improve. Always.
They maybe got some signings wrong here and there, or even a whole approach last summer perhaps. But that was not because they fancied a wee break from winning or doing things at the club, or to put their feet up and watch, but because they collectively decided it might be a good strategy given where the squad was, and also what was hanging over the club's head at the time. Both of those things being new territory to Manchester City btw.
All that is documented and publicly available.
To then claim otherwise, sorry, does merit the response you got! What is it you think you know behind the scenes that's different to what they are telling us.
