The FOC thread.

I had two new hips which sorted out the hip pain I had but my consultant said there was nowt they could do about the spinal degeneration. It’s worse in the morning for me when I get out of bed.

Oh, here’s another thing prompted by a visit to my local shopping centre one recent sunny day, with women wearing very little……….
Women WITHOUT tattoos.
I don’t mind a discrete tattoo but some women these days are covered with flowers, animals, ‘Chinese’ writing and god knows what else.

I had big cortisone injections into my hips which sorted them to a large extent. The spine gives constant pain which is an 8 at times. The treatment I was recommended is not always successful but it’s deffo worth a try.

Remember getting a hundred lines in school?
"I must not talk in class
I must not talk in class."

(Ridiculous part of schooling, by the way, what a waste of effort.)
Kids used to change the words to relieve the tedium, teachers rarely noticed and just stuffed the pages in their desk.
"I must not write in the snow on a teacher's car window" was another one, albeit a bit more interesting.

Pics or they never happened.
You prompted me to finally find a pic. I was starting to think I had made it up.

Sounds awful mate, I sympathize.

Back in the 70s, no tats or piercings. Thin people.

No, but it’s on my desperation list! The only alternative I’ve tried was chiropractic which gave some relief but short lived.
I’m currently suffering both lower back and between the shoulders pain. A few years ago acupuncture worked on a frozen shoulder upper back, so I think I’ll try it again. It’s currently stopping my fly fishing :-(

Does anyone remember those coffee cups that were glass nut fit into a plastic bottom with handle? They came in all sorts of colours. Around the time we had basket chairs hanging from the ceiling.
I think that they came free with these style icons:two-tone-green-bt-trimphone-from-the-70s-shot-on-a-white-background-AN00X4.jpg

and giant coloured glass ashtrays that took up half the table top - or was that just in our house?

Yeah I remember them.
Can't see the point now
Apparently they were invented for people who like to place huge plants in front of speakers, or keep the most commonly-used plates at the back of the cupboard, behind others that are twice the size and only used twice a year... :-(

(just a little insight into regular conversations at washing-up time in our house)
