If we bring Trafford in, would that be backup to Ortega then? I can’t see Ortega being happy if he’s still number 2 if/when Ederson goes.

Genuinely, I think the mix-up against the rags in the final was the start of the coffin-nailing. Our keepers need to be commanding in those situations and he wasn't.

Yeh - I'm pretty sure the abuse isn't a deciding factor in him wanting to leave. Not actually sure why he wants to leave, unless him and his family are fed up with England/Manchester. I hope we get Trafford instead of Costa though. Trafford has loads of ability but is still learning and Ortega can step in if he needs dropping/given a break at any time. Costa looks like a car crash to me

City have never really prioritised a rock solid goalkeeper for as long as I can remember.

Ortega is as good as any IMO. We need to sort the defence out more than anything.

His performance against Arsenal was diabolical. He lost me for good that day

That's him, Gavin Bazunu, not had a good 15 months. Sold to Southampton in 2022, in April 2024 he had an achilles injury and didn't play again until January 2025. Three months later (April 2025) he did his knee in (meniscus injury) whilst on loan at Standard Liege which ended his loan spell, I'm not sure if he's back or not yet.

He's been awful at Southampton to be honest, but not the best situation for him. Ball playing style with a poor team meaning he'll always get found out.

Got a horrible feeling that Ederson will go to Turkey for a few bob and in 12 months time he will be back in the PL at Chelsea or Arsenal and Galatasaray will make a huge profit on their investment. He’s got another 5 years or more in him as a keeper. Villa want £40m for Martinez who’s a similar age.

Yeah I dont. He's on a payday tour now. If anything he'll be able to force himself out of Gala to Saudi much easier than he could with City.

Nah, he wont be vack for big money. He might come back in a few years, but it won't be the same.

Not watched much of Trafford (the surname is too much for my bertness ;) ) but what I have witnessed, he reminds me of Given in that he seems to prefer sticking to his goal line.

Anyone here watched him regularly to dispel this view?

I can’t but from what others including @twosips said in his video, that not the impression I get, and he’s very good with his feet, and wouldn’t be Ederson but not a huge drop off either.
