In fairness, every ex City youth player we've signed has performed pretty good. Palmer is obvious, Lavia is injury prone but shows his class every time he plays and Tosin has been much better than I expected. Delap is TBD.

The Brighton lot is a bit more of a mixed bag. Caicedo has been a resounding success, Cucurella took a long time to settle but he's now one of our most important players, and then we have Robert fucking Sanchez, an actual joke of a keeper. Joao Pedro is TBD.
Think if Delap is played in the right role he will be a big hit

We couldn't keep him - but, gutted........

Well they don’t give a shit about squad size of a players feelings not saying that’s the right was but we need two players in important positions we should just buy them now

Important to provide context here. The Morgan Rogers thing was said by Matt Law. What he specifically said was 'if Villa want to sign Jackson, Chelsea will pursue Rogers'.

Do you think Pedro will be the starting centre forward? Assuming you don't buy another couple before the opening game that is :)

Liam Delap is a very very good player. I'd like to have seen him stay at City. Old school powerful centre forward, but with a brilliant touch and very difficult to knock off the ball. His nimble skills ,for a big man set him apart from many other forwards.
Will be interesting to see how much game time he gets, and how he adapts to having better players around him at Chelsea.
He seems to play the game with the minimum of fuss, and maximum effort.
Great potential.

I think to start off with, yeah.

Jackson looks like he's on his way out, with United sniffing around. I really like Jackson but if he's going to be 3rd choice, I don't mind rinsing United for £70m.

Jackson work's hard but he's pretty average at taking chances, if you can get that much for him then you've had their pants down.

Agree to a point, but I think you're overhyping him a little perhaps. The game is full of players with potential that never made it to the top. To be fair he's been given the 9 shirt so Chelsea must rate him, but I couldn't see him as our number 9.

Don't think I've over hyped him at all.
Great potential is what I've said.
We will see.

I find it hard to believe anyone will pay 20mil for him considering his wages and his lack of playing time last season

Juve, Leverkusen and whoever else is interested in him will never pay him 350k a week that he's on at Chelsea. If he's interested in any of those teams he's going to have to take a pay cut. A Sterling on much reduced wages is probably a more interesting transfer for a club than Sterling on 350k a week.

I doubt he will, he has been on gardening leave since he left us, some City fans would say he started his gardening leave a few seasons before he left us.
