Will we win the league this season?

Generally an optimist, but really can't see how eking out a small improvement here and there will cut it.

I was expecting a genuine watershed moment this summer, but the lack of a full-back with natural defensive positional awareness is not something that is sustainable for any team who really wants to sit at the top table.

The other coaches are probably quite relieved, seeing City's transfer activity.

Just my opinion, of course.

This forum needs some optimism
Dead right - I think we'll uncover a hidden modern-day trio equivalent to Gordon Banks, Paulo Maldini and Franco Baresi, then walk every competition we enter.

Is that better for you? ;-)

The leap of faith required is that Rodri makes a full recovery. That is not too big a leap.

If I go onto any other club forum, they are complaining about the level of our spending and about the quality of players that we have been able to acquire. We are among the favourites to win the league, ABSOLUTELY. Time will tell who else comes in, and who else leaves us, and then we can make a proper judgement.

...and yet, on this forum there's a sizeable number who believe everything at the club is shit and everything at liverpool is wonderful.

Indeed. Sky is the same. Explaining the wonder of LFC data-driven recruitment and how this wonderfully ran club can spend what they wish. Frankly, it makes me want to wretch all over the Stanley Park Development...but I can't find it.
