It was me that first put forward Crooked Reign.
If I'm wrong and you are Blue you are a weird fucker. I looked at your post history and that doesn't look right but whatever, im just going to ignore you.

I'm a blue indeed.

Been here a few years now posting about all things city

Used to do “watch with mother”, Flower Pot Men, the Wooden Tops, Andy Pandy, Rag Tag and Bobtail, hated Tales of the Riverbank as it was just live animals and narration, not something a young kid needs to see.

The nostalgia of those days is off the charts, a good few years until we learned the “facts of life”, now the young uns are propelled into early adulthood via the Internet, they miss out on some of those blissful innocent years.
Exactly this ^^^^^^

Hated Tales from The Riverbank for exactly the same reasons and wasn’t keen on rag Tag and Bobtail

Remember the Test Card just before they started and fondly recall the black screen with the white minute circle as the final countdown commenced

Who the fuck are Man United by the way

You’re not the Pope, are you?

;-)

The BBC’s sports homepage has as its sixth biggest story, behind Stokes injury fears allayed and four features on the Euros final tonight.

What we learned from the rags' victory over West Ham (paraphrased).

It’s fucking nauseating.

My wife and I just spent a few hours at our son's place today. After lunch we spent some time watching highlights of Derby games - notably the last one at Maine Road and the 6-1 at the swamp. And then to round off the session - Liverpool's flukey win over them ---------------- 7 - 0
A 7 goal thriller - haha.

Crooked Reign ? Has no one else realised what his name actually means ?
I find it weird. If they were winning 4 in a row and we were 16th, a billion in debt, a crumbling outdated stadium and a a bunch of mercenaries propping up championship quality players, I could understand him looking to wind Blues up. BUT it's the other way round and his only source of fun is to say Rashy on a City forum.
As I say weird.
"crumbling, outdated and rat infested stadium" is what you meant to say I'm sure.
:- )

Stone on yet another BBC licence payer funded Jolly! The second of the summer!

Man Utd transfer spending at -£137m net, and now they are after a striker. This is a club that reported £130m of pre-tax losses in 2023-24 season. No matter when you have the Premier League and the media in your back pocket.

They are going to be stronger next season given that only Liverpool have a higher net spend in pre-season.
I suspect that the ease with which Barca and RM can be state aided and financially assisted to the detriment of other Spanish Clubs is being used to assist the United finances. Favour returned etc..

A bit like Chelsea and it's middle east connections. Seems to me City have been wrongly suspected and accused of the very thing others are actually guilty of.

I didn't read the article but what I have learned is they are back. Amorim has got the players playing as one unit, they will be up there challenging and with at least 2 huge signings still to come the treble is on.

Ok the last bit about the treble is a bit of a stretch even for a rag sycophant to type but I bet I'm not far off in my summary ?

Never done this before but I feel the time is now right…….

Going to put a few quid on the rags getting relegated next season…
I had some free bets back in the seasons after moyes.
I bet for United, Liverpool and Arsenal to be relegated. Think the odds were something like 10000-1, 7500-1 or 5000-1 for each of them.

The odds now are on approx parity with City being relegated (hopes of the deluded about the 115 outcome).

It certainly would be nice… I think they’ll survive this season, but the next 26-27 when the their really bad finances from 25-26 play out…

The powder puff pieces from their friendly media outlets are littered with good news articles that they are back after beating one of their fellow strugglers in the bottom half of the table in a pre season game. Their giddyness is the eternal issue why the club is on the death plunge that it is on. Someone takes a half decent throw in and then they are hyped to be the next George Best. Their mindset that they should have some claim on the top of professional football in this country won’t help them solve building a team to finish top four never mind competing for the big prizes.

Long May the media arse rimming continue, let them have their largest attendance in the states this summer as a crum of comfort to hold onto. It’s keeping them where they are.

Pre season friendlies give the media and it's vulnerable fans time to exaggerate their importance.

Fantasy Football used to promote the usual false dawn that a single match between variably fit teams can produce.

Like you I wasn't a fan of Tales of the Riverbank. You've missed out Picture Book which was the Monday slot for Watch with Mother. Always looked forward to Fridays for The Wooden Tops, very apt name these days for all things rags related.
