Will we win the league this season?

I think the 5 major factors for us winning the league will be;

1. Rodri stays fit.
2. Foden regains form and contributes 16-20 goals
3. We sign a RB who's strong defensively as well as having recovery pace
4. Doku/ Savio/ Bobb contribute at least 30 goals between them
5. Gundogan and Silva are never together in a double pivot at any stage of the season.
That's a NO then
1 and 2 We can only wait and see.
3 - still no movement there
4 - hmm love all 3, but they'll struggle to get 30 between the 3 I reckon
5 - unless we move either history suggests Pep will carry on playing both (I still hope Gundo takes an option in Turkey - excellent servant to the club but he should never have returned)

I love my club, but we're a shade under where we need to be imho.

Top 4, decent cup runs and maybe a CL QF would be my guess as it stands

No one knows. Anyone saying we re dead certs to win the PL are dreamers. Anyone saying we cant win it are flappers who panic at everything in life. Once the season kicks off we will see.

But its the same every single year, you cant accurately predict which squad will turn on the magic. The fact Pep has done it year after year has been amazing.

We'll be fighting for a Europa League spot because we are not moving like a serious club anymore. Pep is becoming post-2006 Wenger: too big to sack, too stubborn to change. Our club is suffering because of that. It's clear as a day we need Costa & Livramento and yet we're thinking about signing a Championship goalkeeper and maybe a 29yo right back! We also need Gibbs-White and Rodrygo because if one of our new midfielders gets injured (which is inevitable) we have no adequate replacement + we have wingers who only score 1-3 goals per season in the PL. Compare that to Sane, Sterling, Jesus and Mahrez who all scored 8-10 goals per season in the league EACH. I just can't believe our board sees us and think we're good enough to compete with the power level of PSG & Liverpool. Even Arsenal and Chelsea look significantly stronger now and you always have Barcelona and Madrid as well.
WTF!

Zero chance you guys aren't getting top 4. I actually think the top 4 race will be very uncompetitive with City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea being shoo-ins given squad depth after recent investment.

Champions will be a 3 way battle between Liverpool, Arsenal and City and it'll be close this year.

I think we have to as next season I have a feeling based primarily off law of averages that Arsenal will finally do it and also that squad has become even more experienced as a unit. We can take the piss as much as we like but being runners up three years on the trot is not There

There have been very few cases where a team was in the title race for 4 consecutive seasons, that's why our 4Peat is probably never going to be equalled. You could argue Arsenal were never really in the title race last season though.

But they were. Infact they won the league the day they beat us 5-1. Or so we were all told at the time!
We eventually ended up 3 points behind them.

I think they will do OK again next season, signed some good new fresh players - I'm quite envious of Zubamendi, I rate him and he will only improve them.

I still loathe them and their letter headed notepaper though....

I actually think Arsenal have done some really good business, and if Gyokeres is the missing link, you could well win it this season

Just not sure whether the Gyokeres signing upsets the rest of the setup, not sure why I think that, it's just you've not had a proper number 9 since Arteta has been there, so will be interesting to see how it works

I think all depends on if we get Sporting Gyokeres or Brighton Gyokeres. And we still are bang average on the left wing with Martinelli so if Eze does come that helps close that gap.

My feeling is that the media is currently overestimating how strong the Dippers are and underestimating City. Assuming Rodri gets anywhere near his peak level there's not much between the Top 3 from last season and I actually think the Dippers are A vulnerable at the back and B a serious injury to Salah/VVD away from being out if it.

We'll be stronger than last season for sure. City are the unknown quantity to me as a non-City fan. First season for ages they aren't tipped by many as title winners and that's actually not a bad thing from a City perspective.

Coventry Gyokeres was pretty damn good.
Though it pains me to say it I can't see past the dippers (with Wirtz) winning it again.
City? Depends which division we get demoted to for having money that's not from the usa.
