You must of been just in front of me. My daughter finished 30.21 so must have been directly following you.Did my first ever Parkrun today. Peel Park, Salford. Fourth 5km of the year! I’m on a sixty day training mission including running and cycling in readiness for our annual road cycling trip to Spain in October.
Posted a Parkrun time of 30:20 but on 5km it was 29:41. Not bad for a FOC of 57. Aiming for 26 mins by October
Think it was partly the post holiday blues, where I couldn't be bothered doing anything! As Inchy said, it's probably the flight that's taken it out of you. Stretches sounds like a good plan. Maybe go for some walks as well?
Worsley woods is over that way there seems to be quite a few trails round there that folks use, or you could go into Trafford park and up and down the Bridgewater canalAny recommended routes around the Eccles area, lads? Up to 10 miles but where I won't get lost? Cheers.
Great suggestions Gaz. I'll investigate.Worsley woods is over that way there seems to be quite a few trails round there that folks use, or you could go into Trafford park and up and down the Bridgewater canal

Haha. Mint. I was following a bloke from Marple Running Club I think it was with his dog. I’m not there next week as I’m in Belfast (hoping to join Parkrun there) but will hopefully be back at Peel Park the week after.Yeah it is. I was 10 seconds behind !
Thank you mate. That’s really kind of you. All the best to you and your daughter.Chucked a few quid mate. My daughter has an inoperable brain tumour so I feel your pain. Hopefully he can get the treatment that he needs.
Just chucked together a really brief 'short' on how to safely stretch ahead of a run. It's not very exciting.
Walk upstairs backwardsI’ll give these a go next week. Can you recommend anything to avoid calf strains/injury?

Absolutely nothing but unfortunately, silly words like these get more people's attention. What makes them a "hack "?
That's insane mate, so good!142 days without an alcoholic drink Had a few 0% here and there which are okay but feeling really good. I even went Oasis sober!
Done 59 miles this month and will be running tomorrow to get it over the 62.1 miles (100km challenge) on strava! Surprised I did it, I've used CoPilot to knock up a slight training plan for the Manchester Half so will try and stick to that. Its sold out at the moment but wondering if they'll release a few more spaces
