I’m not sure what it is with Jack, it could be that his mentality changed after the treble winning season.
It was as if he had “completed” football and anything after was by the by.

He seems a likeable character, very friendly with the public and young fans, but as others have mentioned, his off field antics have let him down, drinking etc.
As a young lad we all did it, but in his profession, you really can’t, especially if you want to be at the top of it.
His on field form has suffered as a result and to be honest, I expected more of a player in him, but he’s been disappointing.

Seeing him back training again, he looks a physical specimen, but he needs to sort his head out for my liking.
Would love to see him get back to that treble season form.
Sadly I can’t see it at this stage of his career.

Never has been world class & jack never will be, he’s a quality player mind when played in the right position, something peps never done, out wide is never jacks strength
Agreed, if he was world class we would've seen evidence of it. He's a v.good player for a top half PL league team. In years to come when we look back at all our great players he will sadly be a distant memory. His legacy will be as a fantastic human being, a ladies fantasy, those calfs, and that magnificent iconic top bus photo.

The fact that on one is interested in him so far is very telling. No reason why he couldn't do a job for a team that play play on the front foot like Forest, Wolves, Brighton and maybe Spurs but it'll be up to Jack to drop his wage demands if he wants to continue playing.

There is one more reason this transfer doesnt quite fit the bill for us and its solely on Jack - He cant even find suitors in Saudi or lower half PL teams - There is no redeemable value at all

A Wissa or Diaz at Liverpool can bring somewhere - 40 to 80 million for their respective clubs and we cant get a 20 out of him.
People will logically point this to his wages so again this question - who decided to pay him 300K a week.
Were there other suitors who were willing to pay the 100 million release hence we had to pay the highest wage possible at that time to get on top of the list.

He is obviously a genuinely nice guy whose lovely videos with fans and followers will make everyone shed a tear.
But as a signing for my club, it does leaves a lot to be desired.

Hope he finds a nice club and get back on top of the game.

very quiet, had a feeling this transfer will take until last two weeks of August but expected bit of an interest in the press maybe various clubs creating a bit of an auction lol. his agency knew they need to find a club the moment Pep left him out of CWC squad that was early June.

with likes of Joao Felix, Antony finding Saudi moves, and they really dont give a shit about fees or salaries in Saudi, looks like a Saudi move is by far the best option for a seller club for unwanted players.

tomorrow the squad is back for pre-season, I am sure Pep and Viana again will have talks as squad is huge in numbers and Trafford and a RB still to join hopefully.

To be fair I highly doubt it’s that noone is interested in him, I would imagine there are lots of clubs interested but they’re probably playing chicken with City knowing that as it gets later into the window they’ll be able to get him on loan for no fee with city covering a large chunk of his wages.

No one is going to buy him though, I don’t think we could even give him away for free to anywhere but Saudi unless we paid him off with his 300k a week contract.

With Gibbs White staying at Forest I wonder if Spurs were to use the 60 million on Grealish. Throw City 30 million and use the rest of the Gibbs money on his wages in a ideal world this would be the deal they look at next.
Only if Spurs don't consider why they wanted MGW in the first place and don't compare their stats side by side.

Yeah, I could actually see Spurs going for that TBH.

there was no need for us to give him this stupid salary. (neither to brutal fee.)
I mean Rodri is on lower salaries right now and since years.

Hopefully the club has learnt some lessons from dishing out ridiculous salaries. Phillips is on a fair whack - over £100k a week!!!! Who sanctioned that after a good 6 months in the Prem?!

So strange how pep decided to just shackle grealish but let everybody else do their thing. Poor jack

The media and pundits built up Grealish to be some sort of world class player.....they just run this narrative that he was shackled by pep to firstly have a dig at Pep and city (ie we ruined him etc) and also to try and hide the fact that they were glaringly wrong about his level of ability

Lets hope he gets his move away (preferably permanently) as he has clearly been sideline (not even picking him for the CWC). He adds little going forward except ball retention and he isnt good enough to play in central midfield and isnt getting in there ahead of any of the current squad. He is therefore redundant and taking up a squad place.

The fact that he was kept away from the travelling squad could also suggest that Pep doesnt want his influence around the first team (though this could be well wide of the mark) - I wonder if he will be training with the rest of the squad now they are back at home?

Careful, the assisters assister crew will be out to get you.

I bet he is more than a 'ladies fantasy'!!

I reckon Jack ends up in London. Villa, Everton, West Ham or Spurs.
