Listened to Geldof’s interview this morning, who echoed many of the thoughts that many have been saying. ‘Liars’ could not have been emphasised more with regard to Israel so I do hope that this is the start of sustained period of ceasefire and aid to flow in by all means possible.

Not sure if I trust them though. Just when you think that they couldn’t get any lower, they do something even more abhorrent.

They've already broken it. A further nine people killed today for having the temerity to wait for food. They don't deserve anybody's trust. Incidentally, the New York Times is stating MSF nurses are now succumbing to malnutrition, so we've found a lower low.

Just think, in most of these situations there would be a UN resolution that puts peacekeepers on the ground to ensure what warring factions are doing, are stopped, or at least documented. In this conflict, it’s been the opposite, where the UN has been curtailed at every juncture, even having peacekeepers forced out in some cases.

Whatever happens from now on, Israel will, for the foreseeable, have to look over their shoulder as there are many in this world who will never forgive what they have done, just like we cannot forgive the Nazis for what they did.

This episode will not be forgotten.
 
Moral equivalence...

Israel rightly wants the hostages back, including the bodies of those who've died.

Palestinians want back the thousands detained without trial. But what about the Palestinian dead under the buildings destroyed by Israel? The bulldozers are burying those bodies, and destroying evidence of war crimes.

They won't. I follow some people in Gaza on instagram (at least I do for now - no doubt the IDF will target and murder them) and they're saying it's barely done anything (one of them says that they dropped some aid in one of the no-go zones, which would have meant all but certain death for people trying to get it).

It's just another sick and twisted method to murder innocent civilians. And a bit of pr bullshit for gullible morons to lap up and think that (the required amount of) aid is now being let in, when it's the usual israeli bullshit

There's been figures of 200'000 - 300'000 being the true death count with the folk under the rubble. No wonder these cunts don't want any press walking around reporting stuff

That’s why it’s so fucking infuriating when an Israeli spokesman in an interview inevitably states something along the lines of ‘that’s Hamas propaganda’ etc.

They’re the cunts who banned/killed international journalists and local ones, so why the fuck would anyone believe what any Israeli/IDF spokesman has to say on the matter over say.. the Hamas Health Ministry?

They may as well be saying, “don’t believe the Arab terrorists, believe this group of terrorists”.
 
I'll pre-empt one current Israeli line, that to recognise a Palestinian state is to reward Hamas's atrocities.

Not to recognise a Palestinian state is to reward Israel's attempts to make a two-state solution impossible (from assassinating their last PM who was trying to do it, to facilitating atrocities by West Bank settlers).

Just hope if there is a god it’s true and we link up with France and the rest of the world, it’s something that will help establish a framework for peace between the two states ?

Maybe Trump watched some of our BBC/Sky news of starving children while he was up in Scotland

It puts it into perspective just how much bombing and destruction they have levelled at Palenstine.

You of course read about it, but it’s hard to put into a picture sometimes until you see the sheer level of devastation. I’m sure they got those “tunnels”, though.

Thats not bombing - thats combat engineers systematically blowing up buildings then using bulldozers to flatten the ruins. If there were any tunnels there they are sealed by the rubble trapping all Hamas AND HOSTAGES in there leaving them to die

That leaves the whole population living in tents on 14% of the land and still the bombing continues. Without social media reporting what is happening nothing would change the whole area would be swallowed up by Israel.

Every day we fly a spy plane over Gaza which means the RAF have seen the daily destruction and the MOD report back to government, we have provided military assistance so Starmer is complicit Parliament is complicit as bad as Johnson and Truss were this is a million times worse.

Being respectful, you need to read more about the reality and less of the uninformed.

The RAF have been reporting back, and that’s why the current government have been calling for a ceasefire form the start, why they have sanctioned members of the Israeli government, and been trying to talk the only person in the world who could stop Israel, into actually stopping them.

It’s a difficult watch, and many could’ve done more, but we, yes we, the UK, have absolutely no clout when it comes to Israel.

Israel have basically said that we are supporting Hamas, just because we have called them out for what they’re doing.

Just think about that for a second?
