If India was 7 down and one of there players was on 86 would they have not shook stokes hand for the game to be over and a draw!? Or would England thought they would get the other 3 wickets in the next hour?

You see no one could win the game they game was dead a draw so it’s was just for the players ego to a mile stone!

Maybe if England player is on 74 the games heading for a draw and with an hour left on the final day that player might think I have at least 12 overs in next hours to get my ton so am staying here to get it!

Unless they bring a rule in that says with an hour left and there will be on result apart from a draw, the game end then!

I dunno.. England could be bowled out for 45 runs again.. you never know!

I thought it just needed a chat a few overs beforehand, maybe from Root so it's not the captain, asking what the intentions were quietly. No fuss needed, and an explanation that Sundar wanted his first hundred should really have been enough for all to understand.

The silly bowling looks a bit petulant.

What's the plan for the next Test? Presumably Archer and Stokes will be out. That leaves us with a rather toothless attack.

Has a team ever played a whole team of batsmen to play for the draw from ball 1?

Thought Lancs might have used the same wicket as the test match to try and force a result, but we're not unfortunately. Another draw incoming most likely.

Guess it depends on how much it spins. All 4 wickets have gone to spin on the first day so far.

There’s been a fair few plays and misses too to the seamers.

To be fair the spinners have been in the game so far, Greens just taken his 4th.

But if this turns into another flat wicket bore draw, in a game we need to win, then you'd have to ask Lancashire why they didn't use the Day 6 pitch from the test match.

It’s the last round with the Kookaburra ball too, which helps the batting.

Think it’s been a pretty decent wicket so far, but like you suggest, it might get better instead of worse.

If we can get them out for 275, we have a reasonable chance of getting a decent first innings lead.

Yet another Hundred for Rehan Ahmed, what a player he's becoming. That goes nicely with his Hundred and 13 wickets last week

Edit. He's averaging 50 with the Bat and 15 with the Ball this season, surely he should be in the England conversation

The track at OT looks like the test track. Slow and lifeless with little movement off the seam or turn for the spinners.
Lancs did well to reduce Glam to 260/8. Not surprisingly Green with his eternal accuracy took 6 wickets. A result might not be possible.

Lancashire’s decision to bowl first definitely looks vindicated so far — early wickets and pressure. The pace attack seems lively, especially given the groin scare for Stoke; hopefully Boho can stretch his spell late on.

Watching the recent test series, it’s clear how much the game has evolved tactically in the last few years. The level of detail teams put into match-ups, field settings, and even conditioning is unreal now. It reminds me a bit of how things have shifted in gaming too—strategy, analytics, and precision matter more than ever. Out of curiosity, has anyone here looked into best boosting service like https://askboosters.com/ ? A few mates in my Discord mentioned it’s helpful for getting past tough grinds in competitive games without the usual dodgy nonsense. Not for everyone obviously, but interesting how the performance mindset from sports seems to be crossing over into other spaces.

Lancs lost the toss
