On the face of it - and based on the evidence of posts in this thread - most people would conclude that the poster in question is undoubtedly not a CITY fan. You'd would probably also suspect that he/she follows one of the scum red teams

Then again - that seems implausible given that the poster has nearly 2000 posts in 13 years. FFS, they would have to have been a pretty dedicated 'sleeper'.

Joined shortly after the 2012 title win.

So I had a spare few mins and had a look at a good selection of his/her posts. There are some about random off-topic stuff, but those relating to football are almost exclusively in threads where there is the opportunity to slag CITY off - and that opportunity is taken with both hands. So many posts in match threads, transfer threads and the PL charges thread - almost without fail highly negative of all things CITY.

Just to test my 'concerns' I looked at his/her posts around the time CITY won the Champions League - and also when we won each of the 4 in a row PL titles.

Strangely - not a single post on those topics.

I (perhaps) will work on the assumption that my suspicions are totally unfounded and the poster just has some disorder that means that he/she just needs to slag of 'the team they love' ;-)
I'm assuming this is for me, just DM if you want a chat

I joined in 2009, I've got a Mrs, 3 kids and a full time job. I stopped posting on here a good few years ago because it's full of fucking cranks like you. Came back fairly recently to give it another go but I might fuck it off again.

Send me a DM and you can have my twitter, Insta and Facebook if you want.

Searching through people's posts to "test your concerns". Do me a favour you fucking loon

The point is that, in my humble opinion, some are going overboard about them and disrespecting us. Nothing difficult about that.
Again, I'm assuming this is in response to me. I'm not going overboard on them, I'm just trying to be honest in that their business this summer, whilst being a gamble, still looks very impressive. They've replaced the players that have left and added to their squad too.

We haven't replaced Walker (yet), but we've added two really promising top drawer players who I mentioned before. I still think we're 2 or 3 players short.

Joe Gomez, your third choice centre back. Let that sink in.
Twice a premier league winner. Champions league winner. England international. F A Cup winner. Twice League cup winner.

We are likely to buy another CB. Arne Slot said we haven't replaced Quansah yet. When he was asked about CBs. Gravenberch has also played there for us.

Liverpool deserved to win the league last year, but let's face it, a serious title challenge disappeared in about February. Teams now don't care about winning the league, it's all "muh Champions League" and "muh top four."

John O'Shea got a few medals. Zinchenko and Jesus got a few between them also. I'd also like to say that one of your ex-players got a few medals. Scott Carson ring a bell? Let's say one of van Hype or Konate got injured , out for a couple of months. Busy schedule, two games a week. You'd be confident Joe would step up to the plate?

Yes. Joe Gomez has the ability to play as cb for a title winning team. You know he started 28 games when we won the league in 19-20?
I also said we are likely to buy a new CB based on Arne Slot's comments.

It appears to me like you have a closed mind to the subject though!

edit: In fact i'd like to ask you on the same injury subject what happens with Erling? He ha missed 21 games? in the las two years?. You have Marmoush who is known primarily as a winger? Have you invested in cover for Rodri so he can be nursed back to full sharpness? IF Ederson get s injured are you confident in the cover? Ruben Dias been injured for 26 games in the past two years?

I haven't looked at your post history like some would have! I wonder if you ask the same questions about your team?

@Quinny851 is definitely a City fan, I can vouch for that. Let’s knock these silly witch hunts in the head.

No, I get that and you're absolutely right. But I think this kind of goes back to what I was saying in that Liverpool are now making signings from a position of strength to not only cover what they've lost but also to improve their starting 11. I don't think we did enough in the transfer market after the treble to try and mitigate those injuries and to strengthen our starting 11. Last season, barring Rodri, the other players have all had suspect injury records for years.

I know we're hopeful but does anyone really think Stones, Ake and maybe Akanji will go through the season without any injuries? I'm not convinced but I absolutely hope I'm wrong.
Even though we all know we didn’t do enough to strengthen after the treble how do you tell players that have just won the treble we will be looking to replace them
Almost straight away.
Akanji was immense that season and through the champs league season after understandably looked fucked after 30 mins
Not only him look at Bernie against Madrid
Unreal yet here we are saying we should let him go, there’s others aswell so I can see how the club didn’t want to shit on them

Ok - you would know - so apologies for my insinuation

It must just be that there is some compulsion to slag CITY off at every opportunity, because the vast majority of his/her posts are in that vein.

Maybe @Quinny851 just might think it appropriate to post something positive about CITY sometime

I am very invested in my team and I think we have addressed every problem you have mentioned. You obviously haven’t done your homework. Check the record of Marmoush. We have covered Ederson. Nico Gonzalez and Tijjani Reijnders also as cover for Rodri. Khusanov, Reis and Ait-Nouri for the defensive frailties. Dias, Stones, Ake, Gvardiol and Akanji are five (five) existing centre backs. Admittedly you have an advantage with officials in your pocket but we have overcome those over the past decade or so and therefore I am confident we can overcome them as well.
For added interest look at the respective academies too. Quite enlightening.

You have covered Ederson with who? did i miss it? Ballon d'or Rodri covered by a player from Milan who iirc didn't manage to qualify for Europe? I am not saying he is shite but i'd be surprised if he is Rodri level. Who replaces KDB?

Genuinely go look at the injury records of your defenders. It is horrible. Erling and Marmoush are completely different types of player.

I am only asking you to apply the same narrative and ask yourself " if those injury patterns continue, will it matter, if Liverpool get a load of injuries?"

We all hate officials and commentators btw. Every fanbase thinks other clubs get better treated. It ends up being detrimental to ones mental health.

If Arsenal do Arsenal then Chelsea will probs win it! should the doom around injuries surface! they have 728 players for each position haha
You made a comment about Joe Gomez and cover at CB. Let us not go off on a tangent mate.

Listen, I completely agree with that but we've still got to make up 13 points on them based on last season. We've still got some our own ageing, injury prone players to contend with whilst also bedding in our new players. I didn't say they'd piss the league but I do think they'll finish above us

We make 13 points easy if our nightmare 10 games without a win is halved…..

The amount of points we tossed away, it drove me mad.

Lost games we didn't deserve to lose.

Drew games we should have won easily.

God knows what the reason was, complacency, fatigue, a year off etc.

It was bizarre but a refocus and I don't believe it will take too much to get back amongst it.

Yup I think people are forgetting how much we stank the place out in the autumn. In this calendar year we recorded the most number of points in the league and played one less game than Liverpool. Liverpool have recruited excellently and I'd be very surprised if they don't bring a centre back in. Will be a good tussle at the top
