It's Quiet the £250m return

As long as he stays at palace I wouldn’t be surprised if we went for him next year if Kov or Bernie were to leave then.
I fear it'll be too late. Someone will move for him.

We've had to rebuild in 1 and half windows because we neglected key positions last summer and backed old players.

We've said for years 'what if Rodri gets an injury?'
We didn't have a plan and paid the price.

This lad is a very, very good player. We should be all over him.

That looks recent, Ait Nouri there with similar hair that I’ve seen on other pics.
Rodders will be OK mate. We will just have to be patient with niggles etc that undoubtedly will occur. We are better stocked now than this time last year in every department so think we have alot to look forward to . . .

Bobb would have had a great year if he didn’t get injured as was expected he’d feature a lot. Depending on recovery that could still be the case.
I suppose the one thing against that is last year at the time of Oscar's injury, there was no Marmoush, Cherki and Savinho.
He'll be competing with them as well as Doku.

It’s going to be tough but thankfully he’s highly rated at the club so will get minutes.

If anything Savio might be the one that struggles for minutes if Bobb comes back and plays well. Doku has the talent, Marmoush will get a lot of minutes, Cherki/Foden to rotate the middle and RW. It’s going to be tough for sure.

Bobb has albeit of the bench with little time to go also played false 9 for us a few times. Think he has more versatility which is a bonus.

I have no great preference, but Bobb being 22 may mean he's the one that needs a full season of games to reach his potential, the other 3 not quite so much.
i can see both sides of this.

For me its a question of who is ready...

Foden was clearly ready when he was brought in (slowly if I remember correctly) but he was clearly ready to have an impact.

Bobb pre injury looked as though he was ready to make that step up.

We have no idea really whether Echeverri or Nypan are ready to make the step up and I guess the coaches need to see them in competitive games (but are they really going to get that in a prem league season?). Reis is the other one as well - lots seem to think he is ready to make this considerable step up but Im not sure where the evidence base is for that.....he has barely played at all so how do we know either way?

Can't really see it, even with Kovacic gone. Think Nypan takes Bernardo's place in the squad. If Rodri is back at his best Wharton doesn't play ahead of Rodri Reijnders hopefully, Gonzalez and O'Reilly will have kicked on and Wharton won't be a squad player.

We are better stoked if Pep decides to give Nico G a go...

If Rodri is out at times, we know he will play Reijnders as the 8 (hopefully) but will he play Nico G as the 6 - he maybe forced to dependant upon the Kova injury. ....or will he still keep trying Gundo/Bernardo there? We know against any decent team that is very risky.

If Pep is serious about a small squad then players like Stones and Ake are likely to be moved on. There’s no margin for injuries with so few players.
Overweight players need moved on too certain lovers of Swiss cheese

Any news on Kalvin Phillips? Forgot we've even got him - and surely he isn't getting anywhere near the First Team, but not heard him being linked with a move away.

I guess all that Turkish interest in Gundo, Akanji, Ortega may come to something soon, but doubt they will offer decent fees.

would be nice to get 10m for each, but we may not have those offers but if we still wanna get rid we will accept 5m each or something.
Stones should warrant 10/15m from a PL club buyer, but his salary will be hard to swallow for likes of lower half clubs. fucking Newcastle btw should go for Akanji, Stones as they need CL experienced players.

our wage list must be bloated right now with so many players have arrived since January and only really Walker and KDB reduced it, but thats something like close to 600K per week chunk, and few increases/renewals should be in there soon like Rodri.

fucker Phillips, whats he up to? another loan deal where we pay some % of his salary? I would seriously reach out to Txiki to offer some of his pension to pay for all this.

They need to want to leave as well. That's the worrying part. I would take any fee from them just to shift the pair of them and make squad spaces/save some money on their wages. Ortega will want to be no.1 somewhere, and I have no doubt he will find a team.

Based on my limited opinion

Reis and nypan miles off (nypan is a guess) evrichi looks good to go as an impact player imo and we need creativity

I think we had a deal with Lyon to give them a good youngster on loan as per the Cherki deal, wonder who is that gonna be. they want a decent one not any random kid from U19 side. they probably would have someone in mind like Echeverri, Nypan, Reis, not the Simpson Pusey, Mbete level etc.

Agreed. Said this earlier but Savinho had the 4th highest g/a contributions from any new signing last season. 11 goals/assists in his debut season is more than decent. If Oscar Bobb hadn't suffered that unfortunate injury and had managed that return over the season after seeing similar minutes, everybody would be more than satisfied with that and excited by his potential.

Make or break season for a 21 year old entering his second season is just a wild thing to say. Savinho has a lot of improvement in him, hes going to be top for us and the people lacking an ounce of patience are going to seem really silly.
That's how the elite end of the pro game works.

No club serious about competing for the top trophies gives a kid more than a couple of seasons.

Sometimes they go and comeback superstars elsewhere, eg KDB, Salab, most of the time they were never cut out for it.

I'd be quite comfortable giving him time in seasons past, but the team is way off, we aren't in a position to be giving 6 or 7 players “another season”.

I'm not saying he specifically, but some of them just have to be moved on, that's how the cookie crumbles. Its not wild, its a business.
