I, honestly, don't see why this is a popular franchise, but hey ho...
The new Running Man film is actually based on the book, I read it way back in 1988 (one of the many I read on my Falklands tour), I didn’t realise it was even what the Schwarzenegger film was based on at the time. It was only a short story but a good one.Things left to the imagination in literature can be better than an author holding the readers hand all the way through a book, I know what happened at the end of the story but someone else reading it might have a different ending and they'll know how it ends.

First one was original and obviously visually stunning, the second was over long and fucking boring, can see this been the same and there two more to come!
Yet they’ve made a fortune at the box office and he’s had the green light for 5, so 3 down 2 to go. Such a shame he’s wasted all this time on them when he could’ve made other stuff.I'm hoping it gets binned off after this! Apparently it hasn't had anywhere near the same pull online as the others did.

Ye it gave a resurgence to 3D and is still stunning in that, unfortunately it’s died again, although Cameron is supposedly working on glassless versionYeah, I'll give Cameron his well earned dues, that the previous 2 have made $6Bn! That's mindblowing by anybody's standards!
However, creators like Cameron can get lost within their own worlds and lose perspective of what interests people. To me, I think he's shown everything in his head and it can only be a downward spiral, especially if the narrative is poor. The story has been poor throughout, but the visuals saved it.
Now, everyone's seen the visuals.

No idea mate but he did mention it a few years ago"Glassless"??
How's that gonna work? Are they playing with optical illusion? Beaming it straight to your brains??
Although as an aside I still, vividly, remember the first time I saw the 'chess' game in "Star wars" watching 'Chewbacca' getting pissed! I'd love to see that 'reality' in my lifetime, so imagine that with films!

I see yet another version of "War of the Worlds" has surfaced....
Some of the comments on there don't bode well for it. But hey, one man's meat etc etc.
Let us know what you think. I might try and catch it sometime.Got the afternoon off and was going to give this a go.
Don’t bother mate. It’s fucking dog shit and I don’t know if it’s still a thing, but the sci channel wouldn’t go anywhere near this.Let us know what you think. I might try and catch it sometime.

I love them personally, the first was excellent, the 2nd felt a bit long but both were visually stunning.
It's a place to get lost in cinema for 2-3 hours.
There does seem to be an online buzz for this one and I believe there will be 2 more after that.
It'll comfortably make 1.5bn+ in my opinion, 2bn+ more than likely.
People were predicting less than 1bn for the 2nd one, Avatar is constantly underestimated. We'll agree to disagree to the term "comfortably".
I think the market has changed, myself.

As a cinema experience its one of the best out there, watching at home doesn't do it justice. It's fairly simple story and great visuals are a recipe for box office success.
