Those swell on clauses can get you in trouble.Make it 30 + 5 + a buy back clause and a swell on clause and you and I have a deal.

Neither will I mate.I wouldn't get tied up with the buyback clause.
I would say £35 minimum and a 20% sell on clause. He’s worth £35mill, even if that includes add ons.
tbf they seemingly agreed to 60 for Gibbs White and they paid 40 odd for him, as it turns out perhaps the 60m wasn't as easy to trigger as expected but gives a base to start from.My guess is Forest wouldn’t go ahead with a buy back clause unless at a very high value. Strategy seems to be to sell 2 big players in every 3 year period and the sums would have to work.
Loads of our players seem to have sell-ons though.
I do think we’ll come back with another bid - clearly we’re really after him.
He'll never be good enough to be a regular starter in that team
Anderson was very good for forest though and is PL proven + longer contract. I think people here expect too much. 30M would already be good for a player who has done nothing in the PL with 1 year left.yes, 35/40m easily minimum.
Forest paid 35m for Anderson to Newcastle last summer. they now try to low ball us...
That's my point,he's not good enough at the level were at3 years ago Gibbs-White joined Forest having scored just 1 goal in 68 games for Wolves and then 11 on loan in the Championship for Sheffield Utd. 3 years later and he’s worth £60 million and an England international. No reason why McAtee can’t have a similar level of development if he leaves to get regular football somewhere.

Easier said than done. McAtee doesn’t need to extend if he wants to leave anyways. Again the contract situation changes everything. No club is going to pay that much when he is free next season. The club has to sell him now and clubs like forest know thatAt the time Anderson had experience playing for Bristol Rovers on loan (had a decent season there) and the odd Newcastle game. If Forest have paid £35m for him, then that's the starting point for McAtee if they want him.
Hes got plenty of interest, they don't pay up then get him to sign an extension and loan him for a season.
I think £30m is about right. Luis Dias was only 65m and he’s levels above JMyes, 35/40m easily minimum.

He did. However, much like McAtee last season, he rarely affected games outside of scoring. It seems odd saying that, because scoring & not conceding are the two most important aspects of the game, but for both McAtee & Palmer, their positions at City under Pep required them to control games, dictate the pace, create goal scoring opportunities & assists, & of course score.Didn't he score in the Super Cup Final and the Charity Shield a few weeks before we sold him?
Luis Dias is 6 years older than Macatee.I think £30m is about right. Luis Dias was only 65m and he’s levels above JM
How many times are we going to send him out on loan? He is a good player but not good enough to take us back to the top. We should try to squeeze another 4 or 5 million out of Forest and be done with it.Ideal situation would be a new contract and a good loan, I do believe he has the talent to play here, he just needs to find that next gear. At the minute he plays a bit too safe, seems happy to be a part of the machine when a player like him should be demanding the ball constantly and looking to be the man to make a difference. Its the same thing Foden suffers from too imo.
If hes decided he wants to go then our hands are tied, should have never let him get to a year left on his contract. Anything less than £40m even with a year remaining is poor business when you look at the market.
Not sure that’s a big deal I don’t see McAtee reaching Dias levels. Not got the pace or power.Luis Dias is 6 years older than Macatee.
