Whether it’s chances or not playing under the pressure of Pep what he’s done at Chelsea I don’t think he would have ever done here. I hope McAtee does well.

Probably still wouldn't look great if he had stayed here IMO. He would have been playing from the wing against packed defences in a slow build-up, possession orientated team.

Chelsea have a completely different style of play which gives him more space and freedom than he would have had with us and he doesn't have to face 11-man defences nearly every game.

Some players suit certain clubs more for a variety of reasons. Just because a player does it elsewhere, doesn't mean they would have achieved the same with us. That equally applies to outgoing and incoming players. You can only really judge a player on what they do with us.

If he goes, we'll never know how he would have done if he'd stayed. We can only really judge his replacement.

All we can hope for is that Savinho (or his replacement) does the business for us. What they do (or have done in the case of incoming players) elsewhere is fairly irrelevant.
