I was just talking to a Hull City fan about Sheffield Wednesday's horrible situation and was trying to remember a post on here recently about Liverpool being quite close to going bust within the last 10-15 years. I've looked for the post but can't find it. Can anyone remember the details?

Thanks mate, but it was a more recent post where somebody details how close they were.

Imagine if they went bust and took the ferals over at the swamp with them?

They were given a long rope to sort themselves out compared to other clubs at the time I seem to recall. Others would have been punished with points deductions.

Cheers pal. That's what I was on about. Much appreciated.

Did the Coutinho money save them again?

I keep hearing about how amazing their transfer window has been, but will they actually be stronger.

They’ve lost three regular first team players in jota (sadly), trent and Diaz. Three players who have been pretty crucial to their recent success. I don’t think the new full backs are anywhere near as good as Robertson or Trent either
Of course they'll be stronger. Isak and Wirtz are world class players. The ones they've let go aren't.

I am really glad they have sold Diaz as he always looks a major goal threat. As for the Administration story, that was 15 years ago.
Indeed it was.

I hope the thread on here is still around.

There was a lot of obfuscation from the PL at the time. They were given preferential treatment.

To be fair, the vast majority of my posts recently seem to have been arguing with "City" fans like yourself because they don't agree with my opinion.

Just because I don't call them murderers, or victims or cryarse about their hypocrisy doesn't mean to say I'm a scouser. And it's ok to admit that on paper, they've probably had a better transfer window than us so far. That doesn't guarantee them success, it doesn't mean to say that they'll piss the league. I do however think they'll finish above us but it's ok to disagree with me

Apologies if I haven't made a post after we've had all the success but I've been in the ground for every one of them and then in the pub celebrating. In future, I'll try harder and make sure you're tagged in such posts to see if you approve.
I don't what to drag this out - after all, no need as Ric has confirmed that you are a CITY fan.

I will say though, I consider you to be in no position to seek to take some high ground and get all indignant

I will move on - but as I do, my recommendation to you would be to find the time to go back and look at samples of your own posts - they are almost exclusively negative towards CITY. Try to look in a mirror and understand why that would seem strange behaviour to other diehard CITY fans - but hey ho, I'll leave it there and I am sure that you can join me in this cheer for CITY

"Come on CITY - let's make sure these scousers have no reason to celebrate this season"

My support for CITY comes week in, week out sat and stood with my lad, again as Ric will testify if you need it. I don't need to come onto a forum to prove my support to you or to anyone else. On the rare occasions I post on here, albeit more frequently recently dealing with cranks like you, I try to be constructive. If you take that as me being negative then that's on you.

COME ON CITY, COME ON CITY. YOU'RE THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND AND ALL THE WORLD
