New ST rules & ticket transfers

Hi all,
a friend of mine will struggle to personally get to 10 home games next year due to family issues. Has anyone explored ways to get around the “you must go to ten games personally” rule for ST holders? Someone suggested a burner phone, but that feels a bit Stringer Bell.
 
Burner phone seems the only option for me as I could be below 10 esp as my travel companion has binned his season ticket.
 
Don't know why the phone situation seems so clandestine to you? Only akin to a physical season ticket really.

If you're a ST holder yourself and you're sat beside one another you could alternate which ST you scan in? Providing you go to most the games to boost his numbers.

I'm not sure how this will work in practice. Might just be the club posturing after being brow beaten into freezing prices. As far as I'm aware no other club has this personal criteria. That includes the rags and dippers with far bigger fanbases.
 
I transfer to someone on friends and family they get my ticket in email form with add to wallet on and then I send that email to whoever’s bought the ticket or is going

You wont get away with that this season based on the new criteria, you have to attend 10 personally(apparently) which means you cant transfer or list ten games and need to physically scan in.

Then I guess I’ll be screwed next season as my pain flares up and down day to day at times

Agreed.

Yes the club are ripping people off regarding pricing for tickets but the one thing I never had an issue with is getting the club to send me over an email ticket for download so I can pass the ticket on, They've always done it for me no problem.

They are very quick in replying to emails too regarding asking for email tickets.

Email the accessibility manager! Im sure if your friend explained his extenuating circumstances to someone at the club they could make an exception... They did it for me a few years ago when I had some health issues.
 
I may be wrong about this, but if I allow someone (A friend) to log into my city account and download my season ticket to his phone, would that count as me attending a game when he went.
Then when I can go to a game get him to remove the season ticket from his phone and I download it to mine. Would that fool the system into thinking that I had attend the required number of games

They have previously restricted the number of times a season ticket can be downloaded (not sure if they’re still doing it). So it would be risky in my opinion.

Do u have to remove it though ?? can u not just have it on 2 phones at the same time and use whichever phone is needed at the time.

Yes.

And no. I had my daughter’s on my phone for a while as it was easier than asking her to do the transfer for my son, but then it just stopped working. That’s when we tried to do the re-downloading trick but that failed. In the end it was easier to just transfer but then we’re not going to be doing that for league games apart from the odd one, so not at risk of failing the new match policy.

It never let me install one Season Ticket or Cityzen Membership on two phones, A message always popped up saying something like "Already connected to another device".
 
City are now getting us to jump thru hoops. There are a few ways to overcome this 10 match minimum attendance but one is the easiest of them all but you may have to wait in a queue.

Phone Customer Services, 0161 444 1894 Hence the queue, ask them to send you an email with your ticket attached.

Anyone can use the link to put the ticket on their phone and it will be deemed as you are going to the game.

Also, I do know of some people who still get a physical card that can be passed around. Last season I purchased his seat but he had to attend the gate to let me in with his card. He told me he had to be firm with City to get the card and all his friends had cards. Hope this helps
 
I spoke to a lady at the club on the phone yesterday who told me that nobody else can use your season ticket for safety and security purposes. If something went wrong and you’re not in the stadium, you could get your season ticket cancelled. Hopefully just a jobsworth…

but tbh that has been the case for donkeys. officially. which makes sense too. and I honestly do get that the club & police etc would want to know who exactly is out there in case of any wrongdoing. I got no problem with that.

previously that's always been the case. you transfer your ticket when you can't go and ta-da - the club knows.
this year I might be struggling to get to the 10 limit for whatever reason so in order to meet their made-up quota someone probs has to use my phone to get in to meet the limit and once that is done then I can transfer as usual.

the club are just being cunts - end of.

Is that a thing too? Sigh. Going to be a lot of empty seats with rules like that even if people are hitting the 10 game in person mark.
