100% agree, for reasons mostly selfish, but also pragmatic.Among the many sad and horrible fruits of Donald Trump’s presidency, this is one that is especially painful.
My selfish self fears for the future of PBS broadcasts I love: Washington Week, PBS Newshour, NOVA, and Nature in particular - but also Masterpiece Theater (bringing excellent British series to America).
My pragmatic self fears mostly for the future of PBS Newshour (a neutral news outlet), Sesame Street (a much watched series aimed at educating children), and, as I've recently learned, PBS contribution towards public safety (Google "does USA public broadcasting contribute towards safety" to see what I mean).

It no longer matters. He controls all the levers of power and will undoubtedly attempt to subvert every election going forward. It doesn’t matter if he the next elections are lost by a thousand votes or by ten million because he will control the count by then. I’ve not seen any evidence that the guard rails in place will be able to overcome what he obviously wants to do, especially as they’re systematically being dismantled.Surely just making millions more enemies with these steps ?

Sure there’s millions of Dax’s but the numbers for those specifically affected by these constant cuts in jobs and services ect must be totting up.
