22 | Vitor Reis - 2025/26 (on loan at Girona)

I'd say there's certainly an inbetween though, where he isn't Pedri or Yamal (who is?!), but he's not 'shite', as we regularly see in his thread.

Oh I agree he isn't shite he's a decent championship player who shouldn't be anywhere near our team.

We acquired new fans who let's say aren't exactly traditional fans but more fly by night support the best team kind of fans.

And washed Akanji will stay at the club

Shameless

And washed Akanji will stay at the club Shameless

Send him to Dagestan 2-3 years and forgot

The most painful 20 million we pay annually. His one assist literally costs 4 million

totally understandable, why would he wait for his chance warming the bench while the team from the retirement home gets all possible opportunities before him

The only thing worse than not getting rid of Akanji, Stones, Gundogan, Grealish etc. this season would be if the club makes the biggest mistake ever and extends Bernardo Silva’s contract.

Oh man, it’s unbelievable how we’ve dug ourselves into a hole with poor decisions and bad contracts.

A good few of the " old guard" were missing games in our end of season.
DeBruyne and Walker now gone but Ake and Stones weren't featuring either.
Akanji was struggling with fitness. Luckily enough Kovacic and Gundogan stepped up and played a lot more games than they thought they would have.
Yes as I said these were the "old guard" people said were a shambles that got the club through to the champions league.

Not sure I recall mentioning Walker, Ake and Stones.

My comment was mainly around the fact I'm tiring of people slagging off people like Bernardo, Gundodan, Kovacic, Akanji who went above and beyond to get the team over the line. As you said i am pretty sure that Pep intended them to play as many games as they ended up playing due to the injuries.

Sadly we appear to have picked up some of the sorts of newer "fans" that pollute Facebook and twitter

I said last week in an ideal world we'd loan him out with a rarely seen recall clause included just in case, never expecting that to actually happen as it has the potential to completely fuck over the club loaning him, in this case Girona.

Yet today i read thats what is supposedly happening. Great news for us if thats the case. Thats the perfect scenario for him and us.

Typical of the new age of hysterical Twitter drama queens we seem to have attracted over the last couple of years.

The price of success, I guess!

Of course he is a City fan. Being a blue means sometimes we are not happy with the decisions of the club and are quite critically but we still support regardless. Nothing above is out of order imo.

I disagree.
It is about balance. All of us have things that we love and things we dislike. If all you post is negative, I doubt your support.

I'm sure he has more opinions than he writes on the forum. Plus we went through a shit season after many exciting ones. It's no surprise that more critical posts are there recently.

And imo akanji has been an anchor, Bernardo has been very spotty all season, we shouldbt have brought back Gundogan (in hindsight)?, etc etc. But most of all Pep has been a complete let down last season in so many ways...I expected so much more in tough times than what I saw.

All in all we lacked the positivity that was almost always there since our last promotion and more often than not before then. This season was dire. I'm still a blue through and through imo but I am tired of the talk of glitz without the actual entertainment on the pitch.

Hopefully this season is much better but there's not much evidence of it other than the 3 quality signings given that the other exciting ones seem to be a mystery onto themselves.

Since our last promotion ? You do remember Stuart Pearce.
3 quality signings best DM in the world back and hopefully Phil back to his best. I’m really looking forward to next season .

I said "Mostly". But to be honest I enjoyed the Pearce season too. Kiki and Vassell and Sibierski and Barton and Dunne and even the Greek etc. We were dealing with a shit hand and making the best of it that we could.

These days the disappointment is more about a lack of inventiveness or missed opportunities because we have resources that are incomprehensible really.

We finished third in the most injury hit season in a decade, following a four-peat: perspective, in this case, is everything. Regardless, that season is done, and one look at our squad tells us that it has a blend of youth and experience. If you cannot be excited about a forward line of Haaland, Marmoush, Foden, Cherki, Savinho, Doku and Bobb, the return of Rodri, and the return to fitness of Stones, then I cannot share your thoughts. To add to that, we appear to have Khusanov staying with us. Gonzalez and Reijnders providing more energy in midfield, and a refreshed coaching set-up. Roll-on the 16th, IMO.

And I am disappointed that Reis appears not to be staying, but he is 19 and a year playing every game should serve him, and us, very well. I would like Echeverri to stay because I think he is a blazing talent. I hope that Rico shows his critics to be wrong, and Nunes the same. Being a supporter comes with positives and negatives, but after ten years of unbroken success, surely we can trust those making the decisions.

Yeah we were so inventive under Pearce especially post Xmas at home . Great days .
