Besides, any relatively young player today can probably barely remember them being a good or successful team. A young player joining them 10 years ago was still a big deal because they grew up with these being a very successful side.

They always wheel out the line about the rag shirt looking heavy on players like it's still twenty years ago. The reality is they're just not good players, not because they feel pressured at a mid table club because they used to be good when these players were in nappies

If there is any pressure, it only comes from the fact they get way too much media exposure for a club finishing in the bottom half

Well I hope they have a sh1t start, middle and end, get relegated, go bankrupt, and end up in the lowest division in the football pyramid (if they can't go out of existence that is).
That is my dream......
 
They are taking a huge gamble this season. Last season fucked them over. They can’t afford another dud season like that. Take the gamble now spend a fortune and if they stick around in the top 4 for abit they’ll recoup. They’ll be better but still shite imo
 
They have been struggling with PSR for a couple years and they have had to curtail their spending. Think Ratcliffe even acknowledged that. Then all of a sudden we heard about this ‘Red Football Limited’ and then lo and behold they are then able to splash £300m without any issue at all. Wtf.

The shithole is like stepping into 25 years ago. They still think they are top dogs. They still think they are the pride of all Europe. They still think taggart is in charge.

All they live for now is sponsors and the media rinse and repeating the same narrative over and over.

they arent going to get either of them and they know it, this is just a bit of feel good press prior to the season starting, baleba is still under contract for 3 years, it would be north of 100m to get near him and thats IF brighton were willing to sell, same goes for donnaruma. Have you noticed this year that journalists are using the phrase contacted the club for conditions of a deal, and then everybody gets all giddy like its mean something, its a deliberately vague phrase designed to stoke the masses.

Exactly what I said to the stupid red **** I was arguing with yesterday. Mate of my lad's but I couldn't resist when he started. He was stuttering and stammering away by the time I was finished with him.
