I understand the point you're making completely and I agree, if it were a rival club either in the UK or abroad it makes perfect sense.

However, this is the Saudi's were talking about and money is literally no object to them.

They care not a jot if they've made Liverpool FC a profit. In fact they couldn't give two hoots about any club outside their league.

These American owned clubs are mere paupers compared to the Saudi's and of course our great Sheikh Mansour.

The reality is the members of the red cartel cannot keep up with us. Look what it's done to the rags and now we have Liverpool spending beyond their financial model. We've got Spurs scrambling to pay for their new stadium and Arsenal are working overtime just to finish second.

Give it a few years and I promise you the cartel will be coming to us cap in hand pleading for mercy.

The point I’m making is not about making the Dippers a profit more about why would they overpay. I think they are cannier than we give them credit for, similar to our owners, they do know the value of money.

I hope you’re right….

We've nowt to worry about. The league is in the bag according to a dipper I know who has stolen my username...

Liverpool lost thanks to a Manc ref.

This ref was wearing the new referee kits sponsored by Puma. Puma also sponsor the match balls in the premier league. Through our deal with Puma we now control the refs and the Premier League.

So nothing to worry about blues as a Scouser has called it...

Because the Saudi's can.

What's the point in having "fuck you" money if you're not going to splash it around.

They remind me of that Harry Enfield character "loads o money"

It must be driving the owners of Newcastle FC crazy. They'll have at their disposal a war chest that would have made the pisscan's look like a catapult and a pee shooter yet they're totally hamstrung by PSR and FFP.

I thing you're missing the point, mate. The message is clouded but yet so fucking clear.

They had a trophy parade for a cup won on penalties on the anniversary of Heysel. After that and all the other shit coming from that cult, they are in no position to moan about anything but always the victims of course, they do.
Absolutely. They also like to twist songs other clubs sing to play the victim that the song was about something else.
Always the victim being about Hillsborough and city won the treble being about sean cox.
I'm waiting for them next year to start on blue moon. The moon is in the sky. So is heaven. Jota is in heaven. City are singing to take the piss out of jota. Aren't we the victims.

BBC headline about Slot's reaction to Palace fans not respecting the silence for Jota, but no headline about Liverpool fans not respecting the National Anthem.

Irritating and inevitable, yet exactly as I predicted to the Palace fans who I met at Guildford Cricket Club last Wednesday

"They were really nice to us on the last day of last season"
"They used to be like that with City until we became a threat. Now they twist everything and the media turn a blind eye"

Theres a piece from Dick Van Dyke in the mail criticising Palace fans for the Jota minute silence being disrupted. look at the 800 comments.. if you think some comments on here are scathing re LFC hypocrisy etc .. read the majority of these. And this is nationwide!!

I didn't hear Palace fans singing during the Jota silence on the TV. Perhaps the Palace fans were unaware. I have always found their fanbase great and very friendly so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I suspect the media trying to blame Palace fans are just doing the usual deflection tactics because the LFC fans booed the national anthem again. I am not much of a monarchist myself but it is totally classless to just insult other people. It would be easy to remain silent. I don't buy their spurious claims that it's all because of Thatcher etc.
Especially since most of them aren't even from Liverpool

I think people are reading too much into that game yesterday. We've been there before, losing the Charity Shield and everyone making assumptions on a 38 game season on the back of it.
Without checking, I think we tend to have a better season following a Charity shield loss

It is quite amusing, reading all this nonsense, about the friendly yesterday!

I think City should have been hoping that we won it. The performance of teams that win, in that season, is not great.

On TNT sport the price of Wirtz was talked about. They also mentioned, a few times, how much we have spent.

Whilst I understand the reactionary nature of human beings, taking joy in another's misfortune, often will come back to bite one on the backside!

Are 'the scum' now paying for their over zealous, over confident, demeanor?

Are Arsenal the same, in relation to the invincible season?

Liverpool and the 18 league titles?

Real Madrid and the 8 European Cups? Took them 34 years to win another!

Maybe, City's recent success, is life rewarding all those who didn't bitch and moan about 'the scums' success. They didn't over do it when 'the scum' didn't win. They just got on with it.
At this point in 2022, on social media especially, large amounts of Liverpool fans, along with fans of other clubs, ridiculed City. Look how that turned out!

The air that surrounds us is sponsored by Nike. We split with them. We are doubly fucked.
