To be fair gdm, I think @uwerosler28 read the 2nd 'paragraph' as it appears to be the sequitur to the immediately previous 'Jack has the skillset', rather than the comparison to Hoddle... just a misunderstanding of comment sequence
Not sure I agree mate, other than I suppose I could have extracted the second sentence of the second paragraph and the third paragraph and made them part of the same paragraph, but I’d say the way that reads is that the third paragraph follows directly from the second sentence of the second paragraph.

I’m never going to claim perfection with my English. I frequently make mistakes, as we all do when we are furiously typing, and I’ll happily hold my hands up when I’ve made a mistake (except when identified by @johnnytapia ) but I think it was clear what I was saying there. And certainly when someone posts something unexpected or controversial I think we should all read it back carefully before jumping to conclusions, although again I’m not saying I’m perfect in that regard either.

Anyway, it’s no biggie (despite the length of this post!) :-)

Bona Fortuna, Jack. An awesome lad who took to City culture in his stride.
Has been played out of position that he's not comfortable with yet still gave his all DESPITE Match day thread wankers getting on his back about it.

And you can dress it up however you like; without him, there would be NO treble success. Prove to the doubters you've still got it and I hope to see him back in the right 'blue' next season.

Enjoyed this a lot, esp. the third sentence of the fourth paragraph.
:-)

And I'm sorry Jack's leaving but wish him well.

Pep actually played him in his preferred position on a few occasions and he just didn't take the chance with both hands.

will be interesting when he visits Villa with Everton. he cannot play vs City, so hopefully does something important vs Arse, rags, dippers, Chelsea, Spurs...

teams not sitting back with 10 vs his team might actually give him space and a bit of momentum to attack again. he lost the will, confidence, turning out of shooting chances, taking too long to make the shot, almost waiting for his shot to be blocked.
playing on the counter wont let you or ask you any of this.

i said it in the other thread about him
and i'll say it in this thread...

he did this

none of you moaners will ever get close to doing something like this.

not really.

i can't ever recall furiously typing or typing furiously.
nor can i say i see the purpose of such behaviour.
as such, i tend not to frequently make mistakes.

but, as i am sure you are thankful for, i am not you.

Didn’t want Jack here, after his covid issues.

Loved Jack being here, as he brought so much.

Good luck to Jack in all he achieves in the future.

Love ya, man x

It’ll be interesting to see how he does at Everton. With the limited quality in their squad, he should be starting every game. I reckon we'll see him playing a more central role where he'll win them plenty of free kicks.
