Not sure about all this activity right before the first league game
I suspect he thought he could learn off Eddie for a year then take over.Surely he knew the club would be going into the market for another keeper with the departures of Ederson and Ortega looking extremely likely, with that, it was going to be a top keeper coming in.
It’s up to Trafford to earn his place like any other player I suppose.
Obviously what happened was that they saw Liverpool's ambition and if we don't want to fall behind them, with Pep only staying for two more years, we need to buy more quality.IF we sell Ederson and Savinho and replace them with Donnaruma and Rodrygo I wouldn't be surprised if they also try to sell M. Nunes to fund/ make space for a proper RB. Don't know what happened over the weekend at City but it seems like the last few weeks of this transfer window will be more exciting than anybody expected.
Anyone would think the football season was about to start or somefinkI honestly have no idea what's going on at the moment - absolute flurry of activity & rumour over the past couple of days
Trafford will fight for that spot. Obviously if he doesn’t get it after a while he’ll be pissed. He walked through the door and took the number 1 shirt challenging what some would say is our best GK ever.Don't think Trafford came to sit on the bench for 8 years.
Be surprised at all that but mainly no way we start the season with Gundogan our only fit option at 6, Gonzalez will stay and IMO start. with Reijnders, only doubt,Cherki ,Foden or Bernardo at 10We’ll obviously find out a lot from the first couple of team selections, as we haven’t had a normal pre-season to judge things.
But I’d be surprised if the first choice midfield for the first couple of months isn’t Reijnders, Bernado and Gundogan. Kovacic won’t be rushed back.
I still wouldn’t be massively surprised if Gonzalez were to go out on loan late in the window.
Usually a sign of poor planning when transfer windows end up like this. Not sure about all this activity right before the first league game
No point being polite about it - we've got max 2 years left with Pep and we want to win everything, that's the goal. A Savinho for Rodrygo swap would be absolutely massive for us. We need to go all out - look at fucking liverpool, they're even after Isak now ffs.does anyone think we didnt expect rivals to spend like they do, and now Viana and Pep decided to fuck this shit, lets go big instead of some modest net spend lol.
Kiss goodbye to any title challenge if that’s the case.Agreed. Bernardo and gundo will be our midfield pairing for the majority of games in the first half of the season whilst kovacic and Rodri regain fitness. Gonzalez isnt close to being ready imo and Reijnders should and i expect will be used in a more advanced role.
When does any transfer window NOT end up in a mad scramble like this?Usually a sign of poor planning when transfer windows end up like this.

I guess it could just all be agent noise and the club have plans in place.
Who knew!Anyone would think the football season was about to start or somefink
Im not expecting one to be honest but who do you think is a better available option than that?Kiss goodbye to any title challenge if that’s the case.
