Our financial accounts, if you average out the wages across the senior squad it gives you a fairly rough idea that capalogy is nonsense.

In April 2021 De Bruyne signed an extension for roughly anywhere around £350k-£400k with bonuses etc...

September 2021, Ederson signs an extension, consistently in the top 5 of the Yashin trophy, senior member of the squad, isnt signing a deal for £100k a week.

Not seen anybody comment on this yet but Donnarumma is not a sweeper keeper, us losing that asset from Ederson and still playing a high line with a slow backline is going to cause many problems.

Eddie couldn’t catch a bus last season and he started giving the ball away or shoving it straight into touch far more often than he’s ever before.
There’s a distinct possibility he’s cooked and will never be getting back to the player he once was, so letting him go might be best all round.
To possibly replace him with this bloke is a no brainer. If Donnarummer is as bad as some on here are suggesting, Trafford will replace him next season (or this, if he’s really that bad) and, if he’s as good as some think, he’ll be winning us points with saves and nobody will give a monkeys.

We’re potentially looking at a situation where we could have one of the very best keepers in the world and the best young keeper in England as our two goalkeeping options next season, and some people seem unhappy with this?!

I bet James Trafford would be a bit unhappy!

I'm not saying he should be our No. 1 right now, but he signed knowing we have two keepers whose contracts run out next summer, so he could've rightly been thinking the shirt was his to lose then.

This all changes if we bring in Donnarumma and even though he's a good keeper, i'm not sure how i feel about this.
