Fabrizio broke Cherki, Reijnders , Ait Nouri he's been spot on this window. Mean while the only English media that's been good is Ornstein. Fabrizio ahead of everyone.

News broke in May from a reliable Journalists in France that we were interested in Donnarumma. Us as fans took that as him looking at getting a new contract. Now he's left PSG he's available market opportunity for us.
He’s got a year left on his contract.

We would not have signed Trafford had we believed Donnaruma was a possibility, and even now that is seemingly contingent on Ederson leaving and probably has been the entire time.

So essentially...

We would prefer Ederson to stay - which is likely club-speak for give us more money.

Then when Ederson goes, we will move for Donnarumma. Who I think is ready and waiting.

If Ederson stays, because nobody offers us what we want (supposedly £13m), then we won't move for Donnarumma.

I suspect, based on the l'equipe report and a few people saying Pep has already spoken to him, that we expect Galatasary to sort themselves out and stump up soon hence the pre-sorting of this deal.

So it's all dependent on Galatasary cementing their interest in Ederson. As soon as that's done, and we're comfortable with the fee, then I think the Donnarumma move will happen quickly.
I don't see how City can say anything else than we want Ederson to stay otherwise we undermine our negotiating stance and alienate the player.

Galatassaray have been publicly talking about buying Ederson for weeks if not months. They need to put up or shut up.

I think a deal is there waiting to be done but there's a chain involving Galatassaray which makes it complex.

This GK change could see a big change to how we build up. It’s been broken now for a few seasons and time to stop it imo.

I would rather have a shot stopping keeper than one who is good with its feet mainly due to our Achilles heel with the counter and one shot one goal.

That stops and we will look like a very good team again. All this back and forth chasing goals is why we look so wrecked all the time. That’s not how it works for city. We score the goal and then proceed to keep the ball. Allowing so many teams 4/5 counters per game and one v one on the keeper is not acceptable and I can’t wait for it to stop. Eddie going will be good for us. We won’t get a player like him again and I am grateful but time moves on.

Well Ortega was a free transfer so even if we sell him for £8-10m its all profit? Ederson has wanted out for two years now and has nil balance on our books so say £15m with 12 months left and a thank you for your service and all profit for PSR?

Why does that apply to us and not PSG who have also signed a new goalkeeper already?

The Trafford signing was always to compete for number 1 and not be number 1 and the fact he's HG replacing a non-HG was also very important for our squad.
The 2 keepers we have are good enough for this season .
Common sense would be to go get a rb

Galatasaray wouldn't be approaching us for Ederson if he 100% wanted to stay.

So which 2 keepers would that be; Ortega and Trafford?

Would that better than Donnarumma and Trafford?

Fuck me people making it sound like we’re signing Schmeicel, Seaman, Sidall or fucking Immel. You don’t pass up the chance to sign probably the best goalkeeper in Europe and possibly the world if presented to you.
Applying the converse logic why are Champions League winners letting him go if he is that good?

Gala offered 7 mil , City want 11 according to a few Turkish headlines. This gets done I don't see them pulling out over 4 million. That's probably why the Donnarumma news is breaking
The numbers involved for Eddie are so small it’s questionable it’s even worth fighting over. I love Eddie but he’s gone in 12 months for free anyway and at that point Donnarumma is unlikely to be available. I’d rather Eddie went (at any price) and we got Donnarumma in now, instead of scrambling around next summer.

Why? Both Ederson and Ortega have a year left on their contract.
