Allow me to refine what I meant & what you clearly misunderstood. I've NEVER been precious about having to know the goings on behind the scenes at Manchester City.

Please feel free to show me one post I've ever made obsessing over not hearing transfer news during the window. You must be confusing me with someone else.

I see fans hanging on every ITK word uttered. Some rate ITK's by their prediction hit rate, & others get slaughtered if they get one thing wrong. Personally, I couldn't give a rat's arse about ITK's as it’s all just a bit of fun for me.

However, since the takeover, I've always seen a strategic logic in City's dealings. Some we get wrong, but the vast majority we get right.

My issue in this instance is why we never started our succession planning immediately after the treble when the signs were there that our squad had peaked, were ageing, had been rinsed & were becoming more injury-prone.

Better late than never, we started the squad rebuild process in January & continued it in the summer. I've listed my reasons for being confused about loaning & selling our newly acquired players, whilst continuing to rely on the older injury-prone players the new ones were presumably brought in to replace.

Then you jump in with your size 8's claiming I've no right to come on to a public football forum & to question City’s logic & twist the narrative to, I'm pissed off because presumably I don't know who City are buying & selling prior to it being officially announced.

Behave yourself fella, & stop making up fantasy situations that don't exist. If you think football forums aren't for fans to discuss all aspects of their club, then I suggest to take up darts or angling, & pit your wits against some fish. I don't think a football forum is for you.

Some people on here just beggars belief, & seem to want to cause grief because their lives have little meaning beyond Bluemoon.

That fella should just do what I do. There are posters on here that I'm not interested in their views, so whenever I see a post of theirs, I skip it & keep on moving. It's not that hard & maintains the peace.

So because we haven’t sold two young players Rico or McAtee ( I happen to think only one should stay and he has a future at city won’t be sold ) we are being short term and selling the future and keeping the old guard ?

By the way Donarumma is younger and would be on a longer contract than Ederson is that also short term and selling the future ?
 
Kabore still around, Phillips still around, Wilson Esbrand etc.
Echeverri, Nypan loan deals must be close soon but not yet sorted, would have been more ideal have them 2/3 weeks pre season with their new clubs.

Wonder if we are waiting on Echeverri to see where he goes before sending Nypan out on loan. If Ech doesn't want Girona, Nypan can go there maybe?

JWE will be dumped to a championship club, Kabore has had loans everywhere so god knows. Problem with Phillips is even if City pick up all his wages he's absolutely shite these days, I'm amazed Leeds haven't been in for him as a squad player on the cheap.

We still owe Lyon a player on loan as well if that is to be believed. Bah did speak to them but around the time of the financial issues so decided elsewhere so to be fair I think its true we said they can have some player as money is tight.
 
just get rid of JWE and Kabore imo. both had multiple loans. Kabore aint even listed on the OS for the first squad dont recall he ever played for us, but he has 2 more year of contract. he was on loan at Troyes, Marseille, Luton, Benfica, Werder since.
JWE also had 4 loan spells and 23 yo soon. surely a permanent move to a Championship side is more beneficial to him than another loan.

It isn’t about the club doing right or wrong, it’s about knowingly having a dig at the club whilst admitting you don’t know what the club have or haven’t been doing.

I’m all for discussing and debating, but if you are going to continually have a dig at the club, best if you are informed, not state you don’t know why.
