Kind of agree. It's just the design and the colour that's an issue....

Well … yeah. That is literally the marketing strategy.

Most kits aimed at kids as they are the biggest buyer. Third kit i guess is license to try something different.

The dick vein kit that all the grown men on here nearly gave themselves heart issues over was a huge seller.

Ill repeat; if you are over 16 you arent the target consumer
 
The third kit is and always will be targetted specifically at kids. Its always a wacky colour or weird design for that very reason. they wouldnt be doing their job if the majority of walking corpses on here liked it.

Nothing wrong with it. Be thankful we continue ti get original shirts and not relegated to last years templates like the majority of sides.

Did anyone get to the bottom of why the blackout away kit is different in the 'authentic' £130 version and the replica version, with the collar stripe missing? Other than it being a massive con?
 
Heads should roll, whoever agreed to that should be locked in a secure unit and never see the light of day again, horrendous kit.

Excellent - So 26/7 will be Sky blue shirt/Shorts with white socks.

Away will be a variation on either white/maroon/red/black

Third will be orange and peach with with some other neon colours made to look like a bad LSD trip at an illegal rave.

And a one off champions league kit tribute to Curly and Raquel off Corrie.

If puma are reading this. I'm cheaper than the people you already pay 6 figure sums a year to snort the entire cocaine mountain of Bolivia before they enter a prompt on chat gpt to create our new kits.

I closely knew somebody who was quite high up at Nike and specifically involved with the football merchandising side back when we were with them. I saw the kits well in advance of them ever being leaked, never posted pics to protect the person but I would offer out accurate descriptions of the kits on here and would confirm or deny other leaks that turned up online. I mention that purely so that i can say with confidence that city were never anything but an afterthought to Nike, we were just one of many clients whereas with Puma, we are their most important client and get given preferential treatment. this was the major reason why we switched suppliers, Nike wanted to keep us.

May be different now but back then with Nike, there was about 3 sides who would get original shirts every year and then the rest of the clubs would get a colour variant of one of last seasons original designs.

Doesn’t surprise me. Even England got templates from Nike.

The 2016 Euros kit was the same as our 2016-17 kit.

I don't love the new one, but I do have to say that I think it's not as bad as some of the leaks suggested it would be. I was looking back at some of the designs that had been shown and a few of them looked much worse than the final product. The water droplets are more realistic and the background color is a little more mooted. It really does look like a window with rain dripping down it.

It's still pretty bad, but I could see it growing on me a bit. Cannot envision ever buying it though.

Pretty much. We dont have to like all the kits, as long as theres one or two decent ones. Something for everyone. At least its not boring and generic.
