Maybe he can commute to training…
Didn't work so well, did it? :)
Is it Middlesbrough in particular you think is weird or him going to the Championship? In my opinion the Championship is a good step up for someone who comes from the Norwegian league.I guess they keeping him local for easier communication? Seems weird though.

It did in that film they took of the invasionDidn't work so well, did it? :)
Yep, that good he's being loaned out to a mid championship team who just got battered off a league 1 team in the cup.
I wonder how we sold the dream of 12 months in fucking Middlesbrough to 'Team Nypan'
People usually tell me I'm complaining too much or being too negative, first time hearing I defend anything and everything haha! But am not really sure what the problem is, we signed a 18y old talent from a very poor league and are loaning him out to a better one. He would most likely not have gotten significant minutes in a team like Girona, going from the Norweigan league to La Liga is a HUGE step. The championship seems like a reasonable loan destination no?People here defend anything and everything.
Sure Arsenal would have loaned him to Boro had they signed him
This is all makings of failed loan move and recall by Jan

Actually, Eliteserien is not a very poor league. It’s ranked as number 12 in Europe just behind Greece but higher than Poland, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland, Scotland and Sweden.People usually tell me I'm complaining too much or being too negative, first time hearing I defend anything and everything haha! Doubt that very much since Sverre Nypan is a smart guy so it would not take him long time to learn a new language (his father is a CEO in a bank). Furthermore, the more languages you know the easier it is to learn a new one as long as it is the same languagegroup (learning the 3th is easier than the 2nd)Maybe a significant part of this is language. His English will no doubt already be good, coming from Scandinavia. A loan in the Championship will be a lot less complicated for him; he can concentrate more on his football.
I think it is a positive move. Time will tell, but Boro is a decent sized club, playing in a competitive league, and they do try and play football. The standard in the Championship is way beyond our EDS. It seems like his family would have been closely involved in this decision too as they are reported to be very strategic in their career planning.Yep, that good he's being loaned out to a mid championship team who just got battered off a league 1 team in the cup.
