Bernardo is captain so I'd guess he will start the season, I just hope Gundogan and Akanji are left on the bench.

Khusanov is unlucky but will get his chance soon when Stones inevitably gets injured. Right back is such a glaring issue in the squad that needs addressing.

Certainly the OS Twitter has him on the bus - we might find out more after the embargo tonight ;-)

EDIT Truth is whether Eddie is on or off the bus/train to Wolves he's not staying and Trafford has been thrown under it :-(

Remember this match? Played in August, starting time switched for TV. They threw the kitchen sink at us as the were newly promoted.
Only drew it but went on to win the PL with 98 points.

I'd urge everyone to watch the press conference again.

Pep says Savinho won't be travelling because he's injured and will be out for a few weeks, but the reporter asks "Is Ederson?" meaning "Is Ederson travelling?" and Pep says "Apparently, yeah" with a smile.

Ederson might not be in net tomorrow but it won't be because he hasn't travelled.

Can see Akanji for Nunes and Gundo for Gonzalez but I think the rest are right.

Could see Bobb getting the start over cherki though, or Khusanov over Stones.
 
Think Nunes may be benched as he was awful vs Wolves the last 2 times we played them. Doesn’t seem to respond well to the Judas pressure from the crowd. (Be interesting to see if RAN gets the same treatment)
Unless we sign a RB soon I don’t mind Nunes starting there most games - as he came on leaps and bounds the second half of last season.

He played 90 minutes last time we played them and we won 1-0. Time before that he played 4 minutes at the end of the game in which time we scored the winner. Can’t of been that bad.

This is what I don't understand about those lineup starting Stones. We all know he will inevitably get injured, so why not start Khusanov now and get him settled in whilst Gvardiol is out. I love Stones and he's the best CB at the club, but should be used in emergencies only as long as he's here as we are all just waiting on the next injury.

If he could stay fit for 30 league games that would be a major step towards us winning the league he’s that good. It’s a bloody big IF though. One game at a time starting at 5:30pm on Saturday.
