Rico Lewis | Set to sign a new 5-year contract (pg33)

If he/she has the inside track then they have the inside track.
I can’t seen Stones going at this stage. Although id drive Nunes to whoever wants to pay for him - I’d keep Lewis for his versatility same with Akanji

If we bought a 1st choice proper right back then I’d reconsider but I can’t seen Gusto or Liveremento at this stage. But that’s just a hunch, I don’t have any info
I'd get rid of Lewis and akanji before Nunes

His physical limitations are always going to prevent him from being the best option for us at RB and I don't think he's quite good enough as a CAM to play regularly over other options. I love the guy, but I think City should seriously consider it. Very tidy and if he could play further forward in general I think he could be have a really excellent career.

Maybe give him another year as a depth/squad option, but after this season we'll have to give serious thought to shifting him since his contract will be down to 2 years at that point. If he sticks around he really needs to impress to be worthy of a new deal.
What physical limitations? He would regularly be caught out of position at right back but of course he isn't a right back.

Issak thats says he's never going to play for them again? A very simplistic way of looking at it .
I have however on the Lewis thread a way we could possibly get Livramento, if we ended up with Donnaruna we could maybe offer Trafford on loan for a year, they would find right back easier to cover than a keeper and means Trafford doesn't get upset being benched whilst we work out if Donnarumma is suited and if Trafford is good enough
Isak is contracted to play for the club paying his wages

If he doesn’t play/refuses to play then he should be docked wages

It also shows what a twat he is

Hope we go for Livramento and the Geordies take the money

If not we definitely need a proper RB

I don't really want another season of Rico playing right back but don't think he's quite good enough yet to get much game time in midfield. A move with the option to bring him back might be good for everyone if he gets to play in midfield regularly for Forest.

My problem is we will be getting rid of 2 home young players while we still have the twat Philips. Is this about money or squad places.
Gundogan and Kovacic till here and clocking on taking up space. I could put up with one who’s next O’Reilly.

Said it before but he currently isn’t good enough to be first choice right back and he is well down the pecking order in midfield but he is homegrown and relatively young. But if there is an offer of anything north of £50m then I suspect we will reluctantly accept.

Don’t often disagree with you mate but there’s players galore in the last 10 years who have flummoxed me by moving on, this one doesn’t and it’s right for him; we can debate the merits of his skill set and also shortcomings but where does he play if we sign a RB? He doesn’t get near that midfield
He's one for now and then.
I think he is an 8, a Bernardo type, but I think he can do a job in multiple positions, especially as his physicality improves.
I am surprised at how I feel about this one, but we all have an attachment to certain players.

Not disputing what he is doing is right or wrong, or wether we need a right back ( or should I say could do with as it won't be the end of the world ) as the answer to those two is a resounding yeh , just wether they would accept 70m for him and as it stands I don't think they would , but adding Trafford as a carrot if things work out as rumoured could work

Rico Lewis not being good enough has nothing to do with Gundogan and Kovacic

Erhhmmm, this is the year for Phillips! Come on. can we try him out if he loses those crap shoes!?

We need way more than £30m if we're going to sell.

I've always believed he will make a very good midfielder. But there's no denying we're well stocked with young talent: O'Reilly, Mukasa, Nypan etc.

I think it would be negligent to sell without bringing in a replacement.

Just thinking about Forest - their central midfield 3 was usually Anderson & Gibbs-White ahead of Yates.

They've got McAtee - I wonder if they get Lewis as well there's a chance we go back in for Gibbs-White?

Not a chance Trafford goes anywhere
