I Think With This Team We Win Relatively Easily 4-0 With Nico G Cherki & Reijnders The Standout Performer’s With A Erling Brace & And Cherki & Reijnders With The Other Two, Time To Mount Our Title Challenge With Gusto, C’mon CITY!!!!!!

3 points is all that matters but it would be nice to make a statement on the first day away from home with a 4 or 5-0 win
anyway whatever the score 'its still in our hands' :-)

so lets assume none of Kova, Savinho, Gvardiol is in the squad tomorrow with injuries, but Foden, Rodri are in but they wont start (saw them in recent training pics, so they may not be 100% fit but could easily play 15 mins maybe)

Pep needs to leave 5 of these out of match squad still:
Ederson, Trafford, Bettinelli, Ortega
Ake, Akanji, Stones, Dias, AitNouri, Nunes, Lewis, Khusanov
Bernardo, Rodri, Nico, Reijnders, Cherki, Gundo, OReilly, Echeverri
Foden, Marmoush, Doku, Haaland, Bobb

I crossed out 3 that is easy choice kind of (Ortega might disagree), but a 4th and 5th one is tricky, Pep might tell Foden or Rodri that better not risk you and make you travel.:)

otherwise it will be two of Bobb, OReilly, Lewis, Khusanov really. Bobb imo should make the squad when Savinho is out of it.
Nobody should be on the bench unless they can play 90 minutes. I don’t care who they are, what they have done, or what they might bring, In terms of squad development, it’s more important, for me, that the bench is full of players that can be called upon from the first minute. If they’re not fit, Rodri and Foden should be left out.

Wonder who in the club is leaking info to people like this? Moyes was making a thing of it in his presser for Everton yesterday saying he will find out (and likely punish) who is doing it in their club - we should be doing the same, as whoever it is doesn’t have our best interests in mind.

With almost no pre-season matches and so much flux, I expect Guardiola will rely heavily on his tried and trusted. That should be enough for a win.
However, starting from tonight, I want to see both him and the coaching staff far more active, not reactive, when it comes to using the bench. Once players stop pressing or they’re not doing their job, then someone else should be on and the intensity maintained. Last season, people were allowed to amble around after 50 minutes or stay on all game ‘to find form’. That needs to change. All 5 substitutes should be made meaningfully and not just thrown on at the death to make them feel included.

It’s here! It’s like Christmas Day for now, the first game of our season.

Annual trip to the club shop. New T-Shirt.
Breakfast in a cafe.
Pub for 4.

Get the fuck in City!

Bobb ------------------------------Marmoush

Got a feeling he may trust Reijnders more than Nico G to play the Rodri role even if it's taking away some of his attacking qualities.

There's so many unknowns though. Could see Cherki from the right and Doku on the left.

As in Palermo, more likely to start Gundogan in there with Bernardo and push Reijnders forward, inverting your three so to speak.

Yeah, another option, would be happy with that also. Think a pivot of Nico G and Bernardo with Reijnders infront and Cherki from the right would be my choice but just trying to predict what Pep might do.
