Yes.

The article goes out of its way to declare it a PL issue, not an Liverpool one.

Even if we take this at face value, the news is expecting football to be clear of every bad trait the human condition has acquired over god knows how long?

Surely nobody is that stupid to respond to soundbites that are as meaningless as they sound?

I think we're living in a dumb society where quite a few lazy cunts will respond as per your last paragraph.

Looking forward to our first game of the season tonight.
Woke up in a good mood then read that fucking bile piece about us on the BBC.
What's this countdown on a screen at the swamp all about?
Fucking rag BBC cunts
It's more a count up than a count down but it's outside their ground and is a Paddy Power advert I think.

What else would you expect from a media outlet that protected the likes of Saville, Harris and Edwards of their vile crimes until they had either died or got found out from other sources. Corrupt to the core and definitely not impartial despite what they claim.

They should try doing a count up of the days since the scum last won the PL. Which would be 4499 days of irrelevance for them.

I didn't watch the whole match last night and was just catching up on the racism incident. Why is it that neither Sky's site or the BBC's can bring themselves to say that it was a toxic Liverpool supporter responsible? SSN seem incapable of mentioning the fact as well.
Or maybe linking it to when Suarez was banned for racially abusing Evra and his team mates wore warm up t shirts featuring a picture of him.

Bell was an inside right (to use the old term). He was famous for the number 8 role. He was box to box. Never a number 10 then and not now in the new role. To call him a number 10 shows staggering ignorance. Not a surprise from BBC online which gets virtually everything wrong.
Obviously squad numbers had not been invented back then.

Number 8 and Number 10 were inside forwards in old school thinking. City would try and confuse the opposition by the shirt numbers. Summerbee at Number. 9 in the title winning season and Lee at Number 7, for example.

Some opposing supporters thought that Bell was a striker given his goal tally. The Likely Lads episode listed Bell and Lee among the top strike partnerships. He could have played there but was best as a box-to-box midfielder.
