Rico Lewis | Set to sign a new 5-year contract (pg33)

You've explained your position and "It's just the way it is" shouldn't really cut it should it? Acquiescing to the way a business is run and accepting it because we are winning things at the present?

Oh and you're not getting abuse are you? someone disagreeing with you isn't abusing you? What made you say people were abusing you? Are you related to fucking Ederson or something?

:)
Enough mate you are starting to sound pathetic.

I’d be gutted if Lewis left, enough said.

I’m not getting into how the club is run etc. after reading some of your other posts on this thread. I haven’t got the time or effort to argue absolutely everything with you despite that being your agenda.

If we were somehow guilty of the 115 and sentenced to the most serious punishments including multiple relegations and all the players leaving I’d still support this club with all my heart and support the decisions made.

I’m proud of what we’ve become. I understand the sacrifices made to be the best club in the world. I really wish sometimes we could go back to the good old days and purge a lot of toxic fans.

Gundo has said he intends becoming a coach. Probably why he wasn't tempted by Galatasary.

He’s never said he wanted to play for City for two years from summer ‘24, then become a coach.

Which is what you keep suggesting.

There’s no evidence whatsoever to support this assumption.

He’s been clear he wants to be a coach in the future - but he’s also been clear as recently as this summer that he wants to keep playing for as long as possible, and beyond this season.

Point out the abuse you were getting?

When you wrap it up it's not just about your feelings when your feelings are not based in any reality, this conversation isn't about Lewis leaving it's about posters like you who get really upset when other posters don't rate him highly enough to be part of the team.

Then when they stand their ground you say they are "Abusing" you? I mean FFS!!

There is. I saw a clip of him saying it.

you are talking out of your arse. gundo himself gave an interview this summer saying he wants to play atleast 2 more years, maybe 3 or even 4.
When he signed from Barca on a 2 year deal part of the reason he came back was to become a coach which I think he will at the end of the season. He may well have said that but I doubt we'll offer him another playing contract in 12 months. I think he'll get a coaching contract though, but things can change.

Anyway, as for Rico, he's one of the weaker squad players for a team that intends to be number 1 in Europe again very shortly.

Doesn't excel in any 1 position; can fill in as a right back - just - or midfield - just; no pace; very weak and easily pushed off the ball. There are better and stronger defensive and midfield choices ahead of him, so he isn't going to get time on the pitch to improve as dramatically as he needs to if he stays with us. He should go now to get the game time he needs, imho.

He isn't elite - very nice lad, but, when there's good business to be done, you've gotta go when you've gotta go.

There is. I saw a clip of him saying it.

Great - are you happy to share the clip?

These are his comments from an interview with Bild earlier this summer, for reference:

“Honestly, I want to play football for several more years, because I feel absolutely ready, very fit, and I take care of my body. I feel I really enjoy football: not just another year, but at least two years, maybe even three or four.”

I'm not trawling though the Internet trying to find the clip just so you'll believe me. I couldn't give a shit whether you believe me. I know what he said.

Brilliant - same as last time. No evidence to support what you’re saying, which was my point in the first post.

Meanwhile you can read what he’s said about his future this summer from the Bild interview - which bears no relation to what you’re claiming.

Enjoy the game later, Blue.

Neat and tidy player that can cover a number of positions. I'd keep him assuming he wants to stay and fight for a place.

Nunes is much quicker, better on the ball and is better at overlapping. It’s his defensive decision making and softness in the challenge he needs to sort.
Him being paired with Bernie on the right has really helped. Bernie RCM that is not RW.
