Looked like there was more about him tonight. Meaner. Hungrier. Whether that’s a fight or flight response to potentially being told he can leave or whether he’s just growing up and into his role, I don’t know, but he looked great today.

He’s been in the squad for 2 and a half years so all of the above should be normal anyway but today seemed different.

Interesting to see if that changes Pep’s mind at all - especially given we don’t exactly have a replacement lined up (see Rodrygo/Savinho) if he does go.

As I wrote a couple of pages back; we are not in desperate need of money, it doesn't open up a squad spot since he is a u21 homegrown and club trained player, he can somewhat cover multiple positions. His value wont go down from being a squad player here at least another year and since he is still a u21 player he can obviously improve a lot.
I see no upside in selling him this summer.

For the record I would 110% keep him, yeah he is small and abit weak but he's a fighter and gives his all ever minute but maybe the club thinks long term him spending afew seasons at forest would be better for his development then 30 mins a week with us and if he kicks on we can bring him back like Trafford.

As a defensive right-back, he's okay. But that isn't all he is, he's also a very good unselfish, hardworking, intelligent, linking midfielder. When he plays he gives us an extra player to help us control possession and outnumber teams through midfield. You don't get that with a bog-standard out and out right-back.
