Premier League Games | 15/16/17/18 August '25

It’s a complete joke these two have been stopped from investing in their teams to really challenge while the rags can spend what they like. I guess the league won’t be happy until they challenge for the title again.
If anyone is guilty or financial shenanigans it's the rags.

How a club can be allowed to operate from a financial deficit (debt) of £1B is criminal.

I really don't know how the premier league can keep a straight face and charge MCFC with financial irregularities when the rags have so many red flags (no pun intended).

And still owe various clubs around 300m in past transfers which is due this season

On the first 45 minutes, I'd say that Villa and Newcastle could be a danger this season... to themselves.

Their apparent 'lose possession' tactics make the game exciting, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it against decent opposition.

Two average teams.
I'm listening on the radio. I'll give it another 10 minutes and if still boring I'll put some music on.

Good to see Craig Pawson is still as useless as ever. Proper rabbit in the headlights every game

Both Villa and Newcastle have made their beds over the past few years and now they have to lie in it.
Villa have always voted with City over FFP and PSR.

So have Newcastle since Ashley left. However, Newcastle’s owners proper hide behind City with it.

In 2013 City, Villa, West Brom, Swansea and Southampton all voted against the proposed FFP rules.

In 2024 City, Villa, Forest and Newcastle voted against the proposed PSR rules.

Exactly.

The biggest mistake that club (along with Liverpool and Arsenal) have ever made is forcing Richard Masters into making these charges against MCFC.

I've got a lovely feeling that their decision to initiate that targeted attack is going to come back and not just bite them on their arse but cause them long term damage.

Damage that they may never recover from.
