Wolves (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Reijnders will get the plaudits and rightly so but a special mention for Bernardo who really stepped up to the plate in the first half and drove us forward. Captain fantastic
Fuckwits think we should get rid!

Saint Bernardo is the heartbeat of the team.

One of the best and most consistent performers for City, ever.

First half hour was us getting up to speed, but from then, fuck me.

(Had a couple so the spelling could be off)

Reindeers was fucking mint. If him, Foden and Haaland can work together we're gonna be immense.

Ait-Anori looked like he's played in the team for years.

Trafford, fuck me, a shot stopping ball playing keeper. Don't want to get ahead of myself, but I think he's the best keeper in the world. :)

What I really liked was we got two goals from a player just having a fucking go, rather than trying to find a pass. A few shots were wild, but we've stepped into the modern game that was passing us by last year.

I don't want to get ahead of myself again, but I'm pretty sure we're doing 10 in a row :)

Have a good night all
Foden can play with anyone, the question is always, can anyone play with Foden?

Foden, Reijnders and Cherki will be fucking awesome.

Biggest problem for Doku is nobody gets in position for him, they expect him to beat 4 defenders then give them a three yard pass for a tap in. He always ties up at least two defenders, often three or more but we don't use that to our advantage then he gets the blame when nothing comes if the move because he had nobody to pass to. I feel for him at times.
It’s an area we need to work on. At one point today, Bobb drew 5 Wolves players to him, so in such cases the others need to spend less time looking at the player on the ball and more time getting into the vacated spaces so that he has options.

Coming off a very short pre-season, that was a brilliant performance. No Rodri or Foden. New goalkeeper and left back. A right back many aren't convinced by. Nico and Bernardo in the middle....

Some brilliant football today, a joy to watch. Stones was class, Trafford very solid too. Reijnders and Bobb were fantastic and our number 9 did what he does best.

Cherki came on to add the gloss.

Great to see the commitment to keep the clean sheet too.

Shearer has no idea how to pronounce Reijnder’s name so just saying he and him!!! ;-) Give him credit for praising Reijnder’s though so I can let him off a little bit. ;-)
Thank goodness for subtitles to understand what Rooney is saying.
It’s going to be a long MOTD season.
Can't understand why Rooney gets a gig as a pundit. It's like listening to the Michelin Man right after he's had a lobotomy and some tight bastard has stuck a Brillo Pad on his head to cheer him up.

Great start. Reijnder’s was awesome and the rest of the new boys were good. Trafford looks the real deal - a keeper who can pass AND make saves.

very impressed with that performance. A few kinks to iron out but the new boys look good. Reijnders, what a player he looks and I think he will only improve.

Couldn't have asked for a better result. Everything has to be caveated by saying Wolves were awful and I expect them to be fighting relegation without drastic action in the market.

Performance was good enough to beat the opposition comfortably which is all you ever need on the day but it wasn't the faultless performance a 4-0 would indicate. We did give a lot of space and opportunities for Wolves to punish us, especially in that first half, they just wasnt good enough to do it but better teams will so got to tighten up on that for the games we've got next.

We saw the start of opponents changing how they play against us without Ederson. They pressed us high up more than usual and caused us problems. again, better teams will punish us there, so got to come up with a counter to that.

I'd have taken a scrappy 1-0 today as I expected us to be understandably underprepared, was much better than expected. Spurs will be a much tougher game, hopefully the extra week can see us step up again. Best part of today though for me was peps words about attacking quicker this season. Thank fuck for that, it's the one thing I've been pleading for, we are well suited to it, bring it on.

My only disappointment today is finding out that Reijnders is 27 years old. When I googled I was hoping for 24 maybe. Anyway, what a great player

Fair play to everyone who runs the club, they've not fucked about after a disappointing season. Gvardiol, Rodri, Foden to come in to that. This squad could do special things over the next few years if they want to work their arses off as much as the set of players who came before them did.
