Premier League Games | 15/16/17/18 August '25

Absolute zero quality from both sides.

That was a very very poor game to watch. Couldn't give a toss who won with it being the first game. But that was a hard watch.
 
Well, only watched City's game. But has anyone seen anything as convincing as us this weekend? Liverpool obviously a handful going forward. I do wonder about their defence though. Anyway, we are Top of the League for the Week to Come.

Rags on the other hand are a handful up front and will give teams a problem. So to sum up that's as bad as we could play and we won. We've played better and lost there before.

We noticed Hooper also, different rules for both teams and laughable how he didn't book Maguire (and a few others) but quick with the card for Arsenal

Nope City looked like the best team in the 1st round - honourable shouts to Sunderland and Forest too.

Seen most games this weekend and our next opponents Tottenham looked next best after us. Think that game will be a better measure of where we're at, especially given they've become a bit of a bogey side for us.

Yeh I’m having at least half the season not worrying about other teams and just hopefully enjoying watching us play great stuff. It makes the tags losing so much more enjoyable that way. I think once the team is settled we’ve the best all round team and defo the best manager, so as long we do our job we’ll win it. Chelsea looked shit today, Liverpool look a bit all over the place and it seems like slot is beginning to get a bit emotional which is good for us, and Arsenal are Arsenal - no way they win it under Arteta.

If city defend like we did against wolves, we will be 1/2 down against spurs.

They constantly find the ball down the line against us. No son anymore will help.

Same with the rags, they do that hoof over the top.

Hopefully rodders plays some mins.

Fucking hated losing to them last season at our place. Hated it! Gobshites, their fans are. Please, not them…

Literally was about to post the same thing...such a lack of quality in their play from both sides.

Not surprising really from Utd. Amorin seems to have gone with the idea of a big man upfront and either just lump it up to him or get it out wide and put high bals into the box...plan B seems to be give it to Cuhnia in midfield ad get him to run at people and try and buldozer his way past them

However more surprised at Arsenal - they were poor in terms of quality but they are quite historically slow starters. Gykores was poor though....

We had as many "new boys" in our team to gel... and haven't your lot been playing pre-season up until last week...??
